    I agree.

The Mavs will get in as 7th or 8th seed this season, giving us a mid late pick (16-20th). I doubt Cuban stands pat this off-season when that happens.

also, if proposal is approved, lottery-level freshmen talent next year will have to wait until 2010 to get into the draft, making that draft year deeper...a year where we will have 2 1st rounders again...

What's to stop player from going to Euro and playing for 2 years? Is there anything that stops them from going for a year?

Nope, then with the 2 years, cash in the bank, they become draft eligible when they turn 20. They probably get tougher competition, a sense of living on his own for a couple years, all advantages when scouts look at the draft.

Stern is then admiting he was owned because he just put the high school rule on. People will find ways around this because everyone wants that 19 year old to build around.

If this passes then the NBA Players Association should just fold...it's bullshit that a player good enough to be a NBA player should even have to risk injury playing college basketball.

Wouldn't happen until next collective bargaining agreement is negotiated... in 3 years.

The players union will never allow it so I wouldn't get too excited. It's probably all posturing now so they can get the current 19 year-old limit renewed as a compromise.
