I'll buy it. They've been on fire recently, so I see no reason as to why they can't pull out a couple wins. Who knows, they could even pull an upset if they get the Magic... Buy or Sell - The Nuggets make it out of round one.
Buy. I believe the Hornets are good enough to beat whoever they need to play, despite this being the Western Conference. I see them playing Denver or Dallas (most likely Dallas). And I think against Dallas, they can win. (Against both actually). Buy or Sell. There will be no sweeps in the Western Conference playoffs this year. (I only throw this out there because each team is very good)
Sell - The Nuggets just don't match up well with the Lakers. Plus, I don't want to jinx the Nuggets by saying they'll win a game Buy or Sell - If the Celtics don't make it out of the East, KG will get none of the blame
Sell; if the Celtics don't get it done this season the blame will be spread around and the entire team will take a hit. Doc Rivers would likely be the whipping boy, but Garnett will take blame if it's due. As would Pierce, Ray, Rondo, or anyone else. Buy or Sell: Rajon Rondo will live up to the challenge and step up big in his first NBA playoffs.
Buy; He'll be going up against Mike Bibby. I mean, come on. He isn't exactly a great defensive player. And he's not the player he used to be. Buy or Sell: At least one lower tier team will upset twice and get to the Conference Finals (76ers, Wizards, Hawks, Raps, Nugs, Mavs).
Sell. I think Dallas has a very small (very, very small) chance if they play their absolute best basketball, but I don't see anybody else pulling it off. Denver doesn't have what it takes. No lower seed in the East is going to beat Boston or Detroit in a seven-game series, although Washington has had our number this year. Washington would give the Celtics a hard-fought, six-game series, but in the end I don't believe they could pull out the upset. Buy or Sell: Utah makes it back to the Western Conference Finals.
Sell - If TMac doesn't gets to the second round, the Jazz are toast in the second round. Buy or Sell - Over the next two weeks I'm going to because NBA commentators don't understand defensive efficiency and pace and will only talk about PPG allowed.
This is the easiest one in this thread - buy. The national broadcasters are awful. The only good color guy is Doug Collins. I like Hubie as well, but he's grown too repetitive and refuses to make a point without a stat. I give him credit though, he is 122 years old. Buy or Sell: Mark Jones is the biggest douche at ESPN, and tries waaaaay too hard to be liked.
Sell - Jon Barry is worse because he attempts to come off as an authority. Buy or Sell - Mike Bibby will lead the Hawks in scoring in the playoffs
Sell. I love Boston and I love Detroit, but I don't think either are good enough to beat the Lakers or Spurs in the West if they're healthy. Buy or Sell - Pau Gasol comes up big in his first meaningful playoff action.
buy...less pressure, with Kobe commanding all the attention Buy/sell Chris Paul has atleast one 20pts 15ast night
