Remember this classic from Dave D:

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>DD: Why aren't Hassell and Swift playing much?
    Mark Thompson

MT: Because the coach wants to win.</div>

Well, take a look at Swift and Hassell's minutes over the last 3 games. I know there are some injuries, but couldn't S. Williams and Ager get their minutes?

If you look at last year's lotto, the NBA gods hate tanking. I felt pretty good that the Nets continued to fight hard for what will ultimately be a 4 game devastation, but this open tanking stinks. Even the Knicks are playing the young guys and fighting to win their games! Nets should do the same.

Nets are not openly tanking. If you use the opinion of Dave D to support the concept that playing certain players is considered tanking then it's not very much in the open.

Hell, I don't even consider it tanking at all. I thinking they are looking at best combintations to win (and taking inventory of what they have).

That sounds like something Doc Rivers would have said last year

LOL... took him all season to look at the possible combinations.

Is playing Ager over Hassell really going to make the team that much better?

Shouldn't the young guy get minutes so we can see what he's capable of?
