So you pick the weakest draft class of the past 6 years. 2003 was one of the best of all-time. 2004 was excellent. 2005 was excellent. 2006 didn't have any franchise players, but a lot of good players. 2007 could be excellent. Nothing is guaranteed, and of course you'll have your busts each and every year, but the NBA draft is far from a "crapshoot."

However, lets look at each of those drafts 2003 - Look at how many first round picks are already out of the NBA. Look at all of the players selected before David West and Josh Howard. 2004 - Josh Childress and Luke Jackson were top 10 picks. Picks 21-23 are all out of the NBA. Look at all of the players taken before Kevin Martin. 2005 - Diogu, Vasquez, Korolev and May. Monta Ellis picked at 40. 2006 - Paul Millsap picked at 47. The definition of crapshoot is a risky and uncertain venture, so please explain how there isn't risk and uncertainty with the draft.
Obviously you will have your sliders, your sleepers, your risers, and your busts in every draft. Brandon Roy is an All-Star, I'm not so sure I'd label him a franchise player.
Yea I expect this draft o end of being weak. 2006 wasn't as bad as people make it out to be, it was pretty solid.

I think this years draft has potential to be very good, it all depends on which freshman declare. If Mayo, Love, Beasley, etc. all go pro, we could be looking at a class that might rival the class of '03.
Most of the freshman are being picked based of potential and I bet more 50% won't reach their full potential.
Kareem Rush is a G I loved that guy when he was a Laker. I will never forget the 2004 playoffs when he destroyed the Timberwolves with all those long distance bombs. Also, he seems to be doing pretty well with the Pacers this season
