"He can be moved to Utah for Andrei Kirilenko (and perhaps Paul Millsap) with one phone call. He can probably be moved to L.A. for Lamar Odom if the Lakers conclude that a 6-10 small forward isn't necessary with two 7-footers in the starting lineup. Golden State, undoubtedly in swap mode if it gets squeezed out of the postseason, would ante up Al Harrington. And Jefferson can easily be swapped for Ron Artest, but no, the Nets aren't that desperate."

    http://www.nj.com/nets/ledger/index.ssf?/b...&thispage=2

Kirilenko's contract, like RJ's has three years to run, but is bigger. RJ is owed $42.4 million, AK $49.4 million. Odom's contract expires after next season. He will be paid $14.6 million. Harrington's contract is relatively cheap. He is owed $19.3 millon over the next two years. Artest has a player option for $8.45 million next season.

Kirilenko is eight months younger than RJ. Odom and Artest are eight months older. Harrington is four months older.

ak47 and milsapp for rj would be an absolute steal for the nets. that would make boone expandable and give them more leverage

I don't see the Odom deal happening especially with how well he plays with Gasol. We also need a decent front court player for when Bynum gets injured (which he has a little history of missing games going back to HS), and I could see the Lakers getting better deals with that 14.6 expiring.

Kirlenko would be cool, I'd like that. And he'd love playing with Frank as coach. He'd be running the floor with Devin. I say Roddy and Kiki should try as hard as possible to make that happen.

I hate Ak47 (injury prone). Maybe Nets can work out a sign and trade with Brand, since Brand can become free agent after this season. RJ,Marcus, 2010 1 Round pick of Mavs, and Capital for Brand, and livingston?

Injury prone? He's played ~70 games the past 3 seasons. He played in under 69 games in only 1 season (41 games).

    How is that injury prone?

And then you say you want Brand and Livingston? [IMG] That's a good one. [IMG]

The only player who would interest me would be Odom because I believe he'd be a power forward in the Eastern Conference....still I think RJ is better suited for Devin's game moreso than Vince.

Well I don't like Neo-Commies much more than old time commies. Same thing with Neo-Nazis, that Dirk...

People seriously forget what Kirilenko can do when he has freedom.

Getting Millsap would be an absolute steal. I think D overvalues RJ a bit. Jazz wont give up Millsap.

Getting Brand would be great though. Solid big man, if he returns fully from the injury he'll become an absolute beast alongside a proven perimeter scorer like VC. Add in Harris' penetrations, and you may have something special.

Clips will want our 1st pick though. :/

That's what I was wondering. Millsap shouldn't be viewed as just a throw in to make some deal work. (Unless that's a way the Nets can get him, of course. [IMG] )

i think brand would be HUGE for us... i wouldn't mind giving both 1st rounders RJ krstic hassell swift, you name it, for brand. I think we desperately need a brand type player and stop getting rookies that frank won't even play. Our other players still need the playing time to develop as well. The only reason i wouldn't wanan give up a draft pick possibly is because of CDR. As much as we need someone like brand, we need a shooter that can defend. But i believe people like brand are harder to come by.
