    Galliani confirms Ronaldinho agreement

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ROME (AFP) - AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani confirmed on Sunday that the reigning European champions have come to an agreement with Brazil forward Ronaldinho over a possible summer transfer.

The Barcelona player's brother and agent Roberto de Assis had said on Saturday that there was a deal in place between player and club and that the only stumbling block was a transfer fee between the Spaniards and the Italians.

"We have a deal in principle with the player," said Galliani. "We were allowed to speak to the player by Barcelona and now we're looking to come to an agreement with Barca."

Former twice world player of the year Ronaldinho has fallen out with Barcelona this season as a dip in form and frequent off-field indiscretions have seen the love affair between club and player come to a bitter end after five years.

He is currently sidelined with a leg injury that could keep him out of Barcelona's run-in, where they are chasing La Liga and Champions League glory.

On Saturday Italian sports newspaper quoted de Assis as claiming that only a fee needs to be agreed with Barca to make the move a reality.

"Basically, Ronaldinho and Milan have come to an agreement," he said before insisting that it was not yet a done deal.

"Milan are a great team, Ronaldinho was impressed with his first contact with them.

"The important thing is that he will be happy. When will a deal be finalised? You have to be patient."

Gazzetta claimed that the a deal worth eight million euros a year to the Brazilian until 2012 has been agreed while suggesting Barcelona would be willing to do business for a sale of 30 million euros.

However, it also claimed that Milan don't want to spend that kind of money, looking to spend only 16 million euros, and that higher bids could come in from Inter Milan (25 million euros) and Manchester City (40 million euros).</div>

I personally don't think that they'll get Dinho, and probably Chelsea has a better chance of doing so.

    Why? United has enough mid-fielders.

Two reasons, 1. he's a top 5 players in the world, 2. not to let anyone else in EPL take him and then use him to take away the title in the coming years.

But if they spend the money it will take to get him in areas of need won't that better them even more?

Like another right back, goal keeper, or striker?

Ronaldinho has passed his peak my friends, he's on the level right now where he's only going to go downhill and we see that in his fitness level already; more to come. I don't think Chelsea has any chance of picking up Ronaldinho simply because the Brazilian doesn't speak a word of English and had stated in interviews that he wanted to remain in Spain or play in Italy since those two European countries make him feel more at home.

AC Milan has the only realistic opportunity here to pick up Ronaldinho, what with Silvio Berlusconi and his proposed 100M Euros summer spending bonanza. Thinking not of the talent aspect of Ronaldinho here, Barça are looking for more cash to make up for the marketing loss in the player. That's about all really. The club is bloated with talent right now. Everything is bright, but they need a big transfer fee to be paid for the Brazilian to make things right. I'm expecting something around 35M to 65M, depending on the situation for Barça. We'll see come July 1, but if I had to guess right now, the transfer fee will actually be undisclosed.

Its a great move on Barca's side though, they get all the money and they could spend it on new talent, and like you said they already have Giovanni, Krkic, and company, so its not like they're going to be a bad team if Ron leaves.

Not to mention Messi, who's talent level already exceeds Ronaldinho's IMO.
