<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday April 7 through Sunday April 13, 2008.

Garnett becomes the first Celtic to have won the Player of the Week award three times in one season since Larry Bird won the award four times during the 1985-86 season. Garnett averaged 19.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.25 steals during a 3-1 week for the C's. Garnett recorded a double-double against the Bucks on 4/8 with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Garnett is currently averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.40 steals and 1.23 blocks in 33.1 minutes per game.

This is the 18th time in Garnett's career that he has been named the NBA's Player of the Week. He was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the week's ending March 23rd and November 11 earlier this season.</div>

    Well deserved by The Ticket.

He's also had a couple of games to rest and should be ready for the playoffs. [IMG]
