Kendrick bats in a good lineup, Scioscia is slowly moving him up that lineup. He's easily a future batting title winner. He's batting .500 so far this year (yes, he's already been injured, but they've been pretty minor injuries). He doesn't have major home run power, but he's expected to develop decent power (15-20 HR's?). He's only 24.

I'd easily take him over Pedrioa, maybe even Cano. Robinson has started the year in a disappointing slump, didn't he do that last year as well? I'd definitely take Chase Utley over anybody on the list, though.

Kendrick has great bat control, but he needs to learn to take some walks before I'd put him up with the others.

Perhaps parking every weekday at the Reds stadium has impacted me, but I too have to go with Brandon Phillips.

As for him having protection in the lineup, the Reds play in a hitters park and ownership wants to have everyday power in the lineup (such as 40 HR, no D Adam Dunn)

I think that's Phillips biggest downfall. What would he do if he weren't hitting in such a bandbox all the time?
