I'm the exact opposite on this. I feel a little guilty cheering for an Eastern Conference team that made the playoffs with a much crappier record. I see you guys bouncing back though. You have a brighter future now than you did last year, despite not making the playoffs.

If there were no conferences, the bottom 5 playoff seeded east coast teams would all be fishing in May.

Now that the Nets have been dismantled; I can say it without any regrets. The East is TRASH. In the West, anyone can win it (ok, maybe not Houston lol). I truly believe that. As for the East, it's between Detroit and Boston. Every other team is there to just fill out some empty seats.

The last two years it's been like "Okay, the Nets are in the playoffs, they can win it." It was never the case, and I see it now. East is just an ugly conference. I'll give it to the Hawks for finally making the playoffs, but it's with a 37-43 record. That's a joke any way you look at it.
3 of the last 5 8th seeds that made the playoffs in the east we're teams under .500. All of the sudden it's a huge issue this season? The Western conference has been stronger the the East for the longest time now. That's just the way it is, teams need to stop making those lame excuses.

I was looking at some other forums and noticed what some trolls were saying. I'm glad this place doesn't really have that problem of trolls. But believe me, there's idiots out there who are proud of making the playoffs in a weaker conference to the point where they put down other teams in a stronger conference who qualified in making the Eastern Conference team playoffs well ahead of their teams. This is a big deal because if we're talking only producing quality teams in the playoffs, well shouldn't the guys with crappier records be taken out of it? The guys who are bashing the Warriors don't care because they're just out there to annoy. The don't understand the disparity in team records from coast coast is like failing to send our best representatives to compete in the Olympics for us. Well, all fanaticism aside, wouldn't we want the best teams in the playoffs? I would want that. It's about who deserves to compete among the best. Even if you don't believe that, any guy with half a brain can at least acknowledge a losing team's accomplishments in a tougher conference without gloating with their inferior team record. It's really like being the A student in a remedial class picking on a B+ honors student who missed the margin for an A in a grade curve full of geniuses. That's not fair. But people do it anyway because they want to make people upset regardless of how bad they look. And I acknowledge there are some "bad"wagon warriors who go out there doing the same things as the trolls. The east is not totally garbage though. I respect the Celtics, Lebron, Pistons, and D Howard. I also felt Washington did well despite losing Arenas and missing Caron Butler. But the teams like Miami, New York, and Milwaukee are just plain bad. It's so bad that even Seattle is doing better than those teams.

Obviously, you're still real sensitive about the whole 1st round ousting. I hope they can at least make it to the 2nd round this time.
