I like the Pistons for the East and Suns for the West. What are your picks?

Lakers out of the West (or Hornets) and Cavs out of the East.

Those 3, and the Nets are my top 4 teams in the L, and I'm not frontrunning or anything with the Hornets, I really liked them since Paul was a rookie, I even picked them to make the playoffs this year (given I said 6th seed, not top 2 or 3 -- that was a shock lol)

I would say cavs.. but i want them to lose so that King James want to leave cleveland and come to brooklyn with us therefore i say Detroit in the east and Lakers in the west

My friend likes Orlando, so I'll go with them.

And I'm infatuated with Syracuse players, so I'll go with the Nuggets, but not the Jazz because they're boring and I can't stand them.

I'm thinking Raptors have a shot at upsetting the Magic. Any one have any thoughts on this?

Oh yes. The Raptors, who have gone 6-14 in their last 20, surely have a shot at the 2nd round, getting past the Magic.
I just don't see it happening. Especially not with the fact that no one can hold down Dwight. And there's very little chance at stopping Hedo AND Rashard.

    Extremely doubtful.

True but, correct me if I'm wrong, most of those losses are without Bosh and Ford. Or without Bosh, and with Ford who just came back. I wouldn't be surprised if Bosh avg'ed 25/10. Calderone and Ford are better than Nelson. And the Raptors bench is better than the Magic's.

I'd love to see the Lakers vs Celtics in the finals, that would be amazing.

No need to worry about the Cavs winning; I think they'll be lucky to get past the Wizards this year.

in all seriousness, Rasho can give Dwight problems and now that Rasho is actually producing at the offensive end, thats a big factor, plus Raptors are stronger bench wise so they have a definite shot.

my thoughts exactly. how cool would that be? shaq comes to phoenix and wins a ring. if he does that, he should retire. and the pistons. nobody is talking about them. i just hope they dont collapse in the playoffs like years past. i have faith in them. they are a great team who deserves it.

The team that made me a basketball nut in the 1980s was the Celtics, who would likely still be my team of choice had they never traded Dee Brown. With all they've been through since the glory years -- deaths of Len Bias and Reggie Lewis, years of losing -- I will root for them to win it all. Go Cs, except that tonight I want the Nets to beat them as a harbinger of what they can expect next year. [IMG]

I will go with Washington and New Orleans. I don't mind Orlando, either.

I will root for anyone against the Celtics - even the Lakers or Spurs.

As for Sam Mitchell, he was thoroghly outcoached by Lawrence Frank last year, so it will be interesting to see how he fares against Stan the Man.

I want to see a Laker-Celtic final, but if I'm going to root for one team, I'm going with the Wizards. They are very, very underrated and very dangerous.
