There is little to complain about this year. Cities that have harsh weather were not scheduled during the worst possible months of the season. For example, Oak@ Miami in November instead of September, OAK@ SD Dec 4th, Oak@ Tampa in week 17. The last time they are on the East coast, its mid October. Oak@Den on Nov 20 is as bad as it can possibly get.

Otherwise, clear skies ahead for the passing game, right?

Outside the 6 division games, we drew the AFC and NFC South, Buffalo, and Baltimore. I'm going to assume that all 4 AFC South games will be losses, and we may split games with the Chargers. Assuming that we continue the winning trends vs. KC and Den, I am optimistic about an 9-7 team. I also think things can't get worse than last year's 4-12. 7 wins at a minimum, and we compete late in the season for a final wild card spot - which we wont get because the AFC South will be feasting on our division all year.

    5-1 in weak AFC West
    2-2 vs. NFC South
    0-4 vs. AFC South
2-0 vs. optional games (Buffalo, Baltimore - both games being played in mild months)
