Looking at the BBC's Gossip column. Here
    I noticed some interesting rumours.

Valencia striker David Villa is poised to reject a move to Chelsea in favour of Arsenal. (The Sun)
I got really excited when i read this. Then i saw what paper its from [IMG]

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to give Avram Grant a £100m summer transfer kitty, despite the Blues manager coming under fire from fans following Monday's draw with Wigan. (Daily Mirror)
More money for Grant (Or whoever the next manager is) to waste on Pointless signings.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has vowed to spend in the summer, saying he is unafraid to pay big money for players he thinks are worth it. (Daily Star)
Once again i got really excited but then i realised that he never buys big players. But then again maybe theres a link with the First one [IMG]

England's players face being axed from the World Cup qualifiers if they try to duck out of the summer friendlies against the United States and Trinidad, with boss Fabio Capello saying: "If a player doesn't love to play for England then perhaps he should stay at home." (Various)
About god damn time an england manager got passionate.

I really want Villa at Chelsea... I've always thought if he's gonna make a move, now wouldn't be a bad time. Think about it, Valencia are in ruins. 15th/16th in the table on 39 points, 5 points away from relegation all they have to play for is the copa del ray.

Yeh he's likely to come to England. Chelsea are the favorites to get him as they have the obvious funds. But then again with no spainyards at Chelsea he may prefer a club with a few already. OMG just thought what if Liverpool sign him??? They have tons of Spanish people there. [IMG] I really hope Arsenal get him but nothing from Wenger has been said yet.

He would make a big impact with Liverpool. Though not sure with Arsenal. I think the gunners need a winger, so they can sit Eboue.

lol thats only if Drogba Leaves. My thinking is: Drogba leaves Chelsea pay over the top prices for Villa, If Drogba stays Villa goes Arsenal or 'pool.

Drogba is gone, he's not staying. I saw an interview with him a few years ago when he just joined chelsea. He only came because of mourinho not the club.

Well how can you say any player is needed for the prem. It's already the strongest league in the world IMO. We've shown that with 3 teams out of 4 in the CL semis. but Villa would be a welcome addition for any club. My worry is that Wenger won't break his Wage structure to sign him. But if Villa is willing to take a pay cut. Actually thinking about it he will probably be on more then he was at Valencia.
