Personally, I think it would be funny to see him really go play arena football like he was threatening.
I don't blame Ocho Cinco for wanting out of Cincinnati, I've never been there and I already want out....

I'm in the Bengals market. Woohoo! I've seen three games in Cincinnati and the old stadium was a pile of crap. I've always considered the Bengals as being the Family Dollar Store of the NFL. I have mixed feelings about Chad Johnson. I'm not a fan of his mouth lately, but how else is he supposed to get his point across? He did make a good point last week when he said that he had never been in trouble with the law and being a Bengal, that's saying something. He does have a good point when he says that the Bengals aren't really doing much to improve and the status quo isn't going to get the job done. Still, if I were Carson Palmer, I might want to hang Chad right about now. <span style="font-size:8pt;line-height:100%">(pun intended)</span>
$7m isnt nearly as prohibitive as it once was....in 2006, $7m was over 8% of your total cap, today its less than 6%....the cap has increased by $34m in that ammount of time and will likely increase again next year....they can absorb that kind of hit if they have to.....the league has noticed by the way, theres been more vet trades in the past few years than in the previous decade combined....
Again, you guys underestimate how much Mike Brown likes the concept of not having to pay Chad while keeping him from other teams.

It's one of the reasons that I can't just throw Chad under the bus for this. Chad is right about the Bengals not being a good enough team to compete. Chad knows that Mike Brown isn't committed to fielding a championship team. I bet as long as Mike Brown is making money, he could care less what the Bengals record is.
