I'd love that, but realistically I'd also love to have Tim Capstraw get the call up to the "majors".

I'm gonna miss him but he got worse as the years went on.

I want to get a true Net guy in there, I want Marv gone too.

I'm not a big Marv fan either. Ian >> Marv

I'm definitely with you on that. While it was good to get the premier "NBA" announcer on board, it was a slight against Ian to bring in Marv when Ian toiled as the Nets regular announcer during the "lean" years. If Marv wanted a job, he should've never pissed off his bosses as MSG.

Well I didn't watch that many Nets games throughout Jackson's tenure, but from what I heard he was cool and entertaining (of course I see him occasionally on those nationally televised games as well).

Only if he's willing to first be an assistant head coach for an NBA team as Scott and Johnson did.

Sad to see him go...even when the games were painful to watch, he could atleast make a little comment making it fun to watch.

Get Ian back in there full time.

I was a big fan of Ian and Kelly Tripuka. Not only was he a great color man but he graduated from my high school Bloomfield High. When I graduated 2 years ago he still held all of our basketball records, which says much for our team lol.....I doubt things have changed. BRING BACK IAN AND KELLY!!!

Wow what an unprofessional move. I can see that from him though, I mean for the past 2 seasons he's been basically campaigning for a coaching job while employing his 'fair but firm' commentary between barbs with Marv and Ian. I'll laugh if he takes a job with the Knicks because then we'll know it had nothing to do with being with his family and he's just making excuses for ditching us.

Snoop's final words from The Wire sum my feeling up on Mark Jackson perfectly: "You were never one of us".

    Good riddance.

There's no doubt in my mind that during this season he was posturing himself for a coaching position. Still, despite these tendencies he was the most entertaining broadcaster we had and made the Nets games he did <strike>that much more</strike> entertaining, so I can't be that angry for him. As for offering a false reason for leaving the broadcasting team, I couldn't really care. What matters is that he's leaving. Looking at the reasons he could be leaving, they all seem to be valid. I couldn't fault him for leaving YES for a head coaching job, being closer to his family, or more national games, so I can't be angry if he says one reason while being motivated by another.

I'll tell you what though, it'll be a surprise if someone leaves this organization without any doubts as to their intentions after this year.

I was never a big MJ fan, I'm just irritated that he's in all likeliness spewing BS to run off to greener pastures. If he's working on something with the Knicks or whoever than so be it but I disagree with just springing it on air and possibly using his kids as an excuse when he could be taking a job right across the river and will in all probability be away from them just as much if not more. We need a Nets infusion, let trade MJ's expiring deal for Donny Marshall:)
