The only one that's showing any kind of heart on the Nuggets right now is Iverson.
If the Nuggets can't take game three, it's going to be a sweep. Kobe had that look in his eye all game two that he wants this series over as quick as possible. He was absolutely unstoppable while managing to get his teammates involved as well while putting up the most impressive playoff performance I've seen in a while. If the Nuggets can't find a way to at least slow him down, they have no chance in this series.

He, and nobody else for that matter, was able to stop Kobe. Either way though, no offense or anything, but I never really envisioned JR Smith as a really "intelligent" fellow. But whatever. Keep talking. It's only going to hurt them in the end. More motivation for Kobe.

Also, Najera and Kenyon are playing harder than AI. AI's pounded the ball too much in this series. He isn't playing his best.

I think Reggie Miller used to trash talk a lot, and Sam Cassell talks a lot.
JR's probably pissed that Kobe made him foul out quicker in game 1 and such. He just can't keep quiet.

And would love for it to continue. That's the kind of stuff that makes the NBA just that much more interesting.

i dont think thats a valid point because the refs have been killing the nuggets. I'm not saying there going to win the series, just don't be surprised if they take their 2 at home. furthermore the nuggets offense is so explosive that even if they do play bad D, you cant guarantee that they can't steal one in LA. LA is the worst matchup for us but we have the talent to do something.
As explosive as the Nugs offense is, it can't hide how horrid their defense is, and that's shown in the first two games. They've played decently on offense - they're scoring over 110ppg, but they can't stop anyone, as noted by the fact that they're giving up an astonishing 125ppg in the series so far. And quite frankly, when that's your version of defense, it doesn't matter how many points their scoring. The way they're playing defense right now, they could score 150 and find a way to lose by 20. It's pathetic. No one is rotating, the Lakers are getting wide open jumpers all over the place, and when they're not doing that, they're finding a way to get easy finishes at the rim. As for the refs killing the Nugs, how so? The Nuggets have actually shot more FTs in this series than the Lakers. They've gotten to the line 73 times in the first two games, the Lakers have gotten there 56. The refs aren't killing them at all, if anything it's more help. What's killing them is their inability to MAKE the free throws. They've missed 21 freebies in the first two games of the series and are only shooting 71% so far - something that has to go up if they want to make this somewhat of a series. Lastly, the Nuggets might want to remember what playing team ball is as well. They're averaging a mere 16 apg while averaging 13 turnovers. That's not the ratio they want at all. The Nuggets, with the way they're playing, have no chance (and that's saying it kindly). They're no defense, me-first style of play is going to continue to kill them. You can't not play defense when you're going against the Lakers. They have too many weapons and they're exploiting every mistake the Nuggets make right now. Unless the Nuggets tighten things up defensively and find a way to at least contain Kobe, this series might not make it back to Los Angeles.
That wont change much. Nuggets' biggest defensive problem is that 2 of their starters are absolutely horrible man AND team defenders. Anthony is just dumb as a rock on defense. Camby is a poor 1v1 defender and often compromised team defense going for blocks.

Kobe to the FT, but hits just 2/3. Kobe sets up Fish for three!!! Kleiza draws the foul though. Man it feels weird heering a crowd cheer for the Nuggets. I can not get used to this. :[
