I only just woke up, so dissapointed to find out that we lost game 1 after having an early lead. Howard has been horrible recently, his shooting percentages have been downright ridiculous. Dirk atleast was almost around 50%

So what went well/bad for us?

Is it me or did Dirk come in with a little more attitude recently? Maybe if he gets bounced again in first round he'll actually start playing like a big angry German.

The problem of Kidd not being able to handle the opposing guard is showing right now. Chris Paul explodes for 35, scoring anytime he wants, any way he wants.

I have an idea. Since Howard has been shooting so horribly lately, they should make him guard CP3, and relieve him of his offensive duties. Then have Kidd guard the 2 and then have our 2 (Eddie Jones, Stack, whoever) guard the 3.

This helps Kidd as he doesn't have to stay with Chris Paul's speed, which Howard can try to with his young legs and defense (he's pretty good at it). Kidd can guard Mo Pete who is just pretty much a 3 point shooter, so Kidd doesn't have to guard the drive (which is killing him because he is old and slow).

Okay, so Howard doesn't have "offensive duties". Then who does? Stack, Dirk, and Terry can't score 90+ all by themselves. [IMG]

Haha. Seriously, though, with Kidd on the team, Howard should handle the ball less, and be on the finishing ends of plays more.

Oh, and Damp+Bass played like shit in the 2nd half. IMO that's the 2nd biggest reason they lost.

Ok, I what I meant is that he shouldn't be asked to score 20+ a game. If he's open, take the shot, if not, pass it up. Him putting up 15 a game would be good, considering how he's been shooting such a low percentage anyway, might as well give it to someone else to try.

Not only did the Mavs blow their 12 point lead at the half and into the third quarter, but they got kind of blown out at the end. Ridiculous, they've lost 9 out of their last 11 playoff games; weak.

I'll still root for them only because the Lakers match up better with them, but it sure doesn't look good. The Mavs haven't exactly shown mental toughness this season.

Am I the only one disappointed at Dirk's reaction when David West tapped him on the face? That was just rude and disrespectful. West looked like a punk out there. Now, I'm not saying Dirk should've went crazy and started a brawl or anything, but he should've at least gotten into his face about it. Instead, I think he just stood there. Image if the same thing happened to Kobe, Duncan, or Lebron. Do you think they would've just stood there and stared? No. They would have said something back, because as a team leader, you shouldn't take that crap from the opposing team.

I took it as 1) Dirk was counting on the refs to make the right call and 2) Dirk was ignoring him to show that West was meaningless.

Duncan wouldn't get in any player's face. Besides, if anyone had touched him in the face like that, it would have been a flagrant 2.
