    Mark Cuban you just ruined your franchise by trading for a 35 year old cry baby. How do you feel“?</div>

    His probably looking forward to game 3. So how's Thorn doing sitting at home with the Nets out of the playoffs?

    You keep saying this like it's some kind of great thing Kidd did. The Nets missed the playoffs because Kidd is a douche and they wisely decided to dump him rather than keep him and get blitzed once again in the playoffs (just like the Mavs are doing).

    So far I'm guessing Cuban wants to murder him.
    </div>

    Oh really? Yeah, you'd rather see the Nets miss the playoffs than be in with Kidd still around. That's just genius. [IMG]
    </div>

    Of course. Kidd is 35 years old and declining. He didn't want to be here and he didn't care about winning here. He put in a half-assed effort and poisoned the team. I couldn't be happier that he's gone.

    Ask any Nets fan if they like this trade and you will get a unanimous "HELL YES!!"

    Basically, the Mavs mortgaged their future and spent a ton of money only to get utterly embarassed.

    Now, that's funny! [IMG]
    </div>

    What's funny is that your celebrating the fact that the best thing that has ever happened to this franchise is now gone. Back to the lottery the Nets go. The Mavs spent money to win. It takes money to make money. They want to win and they were willing to pay the price for winning. A gamble? Yes. But that's the way it goes. Teams are in the league to win. Not just to be in the league and hope to be in the playoffs from time to time. Their in it to win the whole thing. Thorn and the Nets wasn't willing to do that. They want to win but at a limited price. Go on and continue to "kidd" yourself that your happy that Kidd is gone. Anyway, you'll need something to do as the Nets will have to go home early every year for missing the playoffs. And another thing, wish hard that your delusions of getting Lebron in 2010 becomes a reality. goodluck with that. Believe me you'll need it.
    </div>

    Dr. J is gone, too. I doubt he could help much either.

    (But I guarantee he would at least show up for every game and try and earn his gigantic paycheck.)
    </div>

    Kidd had 12 triple doubles for the Nets this season. Can you say the same to another Net player? Or even the entire NBA?

    Good luck with Dirk. He's good for the regular season but softer than a marshmallow. David West pulled his card in gm 1. So that's Stephan Jackson D Wade and now West.

    who will be on the list next year Kevin Love.

    Also to be honest you guys weren't doing anything with or without kidd. The best thing to happen to the nets in a long while might be gone but the highlight of the Mavs will be being up 2 games and losing in the finals. Winning 67 games and a player win MVP to lose in the first round to an 8th seed team.

    The Nets at least made it back to finals. Too bad u guys can't say that but hey the way the west is going Thorn might not be the only GM with his team out of the playoffs. You guys hardly made it.

    Kidd led the league in fake migraines and unwanted crotch grabs, too, but none of those things would help the Nets beat the Celtics even once in a playoff series.

    Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking! So where's Kidd's TRIPLE-DOUBLESSSS been in the playoffs, when they've needed them the most, and when they've mattered the most? Hell, he didn't even get any double-doubles.

    Are you a Mavs fan or a Kidd Fan? It really befuddles me in wondering where your loyalties actually lie, as Kidd pulled some rotten things in Dallas his first time around.

    And why in the world would you think that people (fans) that are DEVOTED to their team would not be happy that a player that no longer wants to play for them is finally sent away? You really think that we should've been happy this year with the way things were going with him? Are you saying that we should have been happy to keep an unhappy player on this team? Are you a friggin idiot?

    "YAY, I just want my best player to absolutely despise playing here!!"

    You're an absolute moron to even think that a person that follows this team first and foremost would be happy to keep a player like that, no matter how good is or was... or even for that matter what he had done for this team. I bet you that an overwhelming majority of Nets fans appreciate what Jason did for the team the first few years here when we were in top 5 best teams in the East. But does that mean we have to sit here and say "GOODY!" when he says he wants to leave!! Don't you understand that we HAVE to be happy that he leaves“

    You are WAY too simple-minded to distinguish between ANGER about him wanting to leave, and HAPPINESS when we finally got rid of a player that doesn't want to be here. You think any fan of a team in his right mind would want to have a player that doesn't want to be there?

    You must be totally illiterate. I would make a bet that you weren't even born in this country judging by your blatant inability to read, and as a matter of fact the overly simplistic usage of your writing. Go back to your little hole and those little sexual fantasies you have that include Dirk and Jason.

    As a lifelong Nets fan, you better believe that I am PISSED off to no end on how this season ended up. And you better believe that Jason Kidd was a major reason for it. I hope Jason F-Up's your post-season just like he did to our regular season.

    Petro's serious.

    To answer the simple question of the thread: I'm going with the Hornets.
    I believe Scott has paid his dues as a coach, and has some amazing talent on his roster that he knows how to work with.

    As a Net fan, I say thank you Kidd for the glory days part 2 (the first being the ABA team) but let's face it, also as a Net fan I care about the CURRENT ROSTER of the Nets, in which Kidd is not part of. The "glory days" are long gone. There will be another chapter though, you can count on it. And Jason Kidd won't be a part of it and hell, maybe none of the guys on the current roster will be either. A disappointing season it was, but next season will be more exciting than this season for various reasons. Can't wait.

    As tough as this year was, it's great to be a Nets fan.

    The funny part about all of this is if you watch Dallas now they look exactly like the Nets did earlier this year. I wonder how many times they've been down 20 since they acquired Kidd? While the Nets didn't seem to be down 20 by half time or down 20 all that much at all once Kidd was traded.

    I am new here.

    I am for Scott.

    Kidd is one of my favorite players, but Scott has gotten Paul motivated enough to take out Scott's enemy. That is some serious influence. Maybe if kidd listen to scott, he would have had a title. Instead Kidd wanted an idiot as a coach.

    Why are you calling Eddie Jordan an idiot? That is who Kidd wanted as Head Coach, then it simply became a matter of forcing Scott out.

    Jordan was already gone (Washington) when Scott got fired. If kidd did want jordan, like him asking for this trade, the timing was off once again.

    You have to look back further in the time line. Kidd strongly attempted to use his impending Free Agency to get Scott fired and Jordan hired. Thorn kept putting him off and once Jordan accepted the position in Washington, Kidd relented. However, Kidd never truly stopped in his desire to see Scott gone.

    Judging from the other thread regarding Josh Howard on this board, I imagine it's about weed.
