Laker fans, talk about the rest of the Western Conference playoffs here (or Eastern Conference if you wish). Use this thread to keep track of our potential future opponents

Anyways, what a great way to start off the postseason. The Spurs showed why they are still the most feared team in the league. No, they may not be the most flashy team, and no, they may not be the most talented team, but when it counts, they always find a way to win games. Today is a perfect example of how lucky we are to have won the Pacific. We get to watch the Spurs and the Suns, who we could be facing in the WCF assuming we advance that far, beat the shit out of each other for the next 6 games (I see a 7 game series coming up). I hate both teams with a passion, and there's nothing better than a long, dragged out series for both aging teams. [IMG]

Although I am rooting for the Spurs in that series [IMG]

Talk about an amazing first day. I got the opportunity to watch the Cavs v. Wiz game and Spurs v. Suns game, and both were incredible. I thought for sure the Wizards were going to pull that game out. Arenas came out on fire and played well for the most part. One issue I have with how he played though is he was not playing within the offense sometimes. He tried to isolate one on one too often and he probably threw the Wizards offense out of whack doing so.

The Spurs vs. Suns game was absolutely incredible. The Spurs proved they're still one of the best teams in the NBA and handle the pressure as well as any team we've ever seen. Speaking of the game now, Pops was brilliant at the end of the game. After Nash hit the game tying three at the end it was pure brilliance to just let them go. The Suns didn't have Shaq in there so it made isolating the lane for a lay up 100 times easier.

In all, it was an amazing first day and I can't wait to see what today's got in store for us. It's unfortunate that I probably won't get to catch the Lakers game cause I'm going to be at work, bah.

I don't know, I didn't really think much about the Spurs in Game 1. I would phrase Game 1 of that series more as the Suns choking it away, Amare fouling out, and losing to a Duncan 3-point shot.

I hate the Suns btw, so it's not like I want to defend them or anything. They seemed like the better team out there yesterday so maybe it's better that the Spurs won.
