    Eastern Conference basketball sucks. Every now and then, a squirrel finds a nut. In the end, West Coast wins. *I* could have passed the ball 20 times and set up my teamates to score.

    Please, don't mention the finals appearances, J Kidd will appreciate that.

    Hey, that trade works in so many ways. Nets got a 2010 unprotected pick and the Mavs right now look like they are in disarray. Coach could get fired. Kidd may not get that extension he wants (and we know how he reacts to that). In any case, Kidd will be 37 in 2010, Dirk will be 32, and other than Josh Howard (who looks REAL bad), they are all going to be in their mid-thirties. That pick could be a lottery pick in 2010.

    i would welcome jkidd back for the minimum to backup devin harris and the opportunity to throw vintage alley oops to lebron james and ride his coattails for a title in 2010-11...

    Actually 4 through 10 are all individual achievements. Not team achievements.

    </div>

    And who else is there that would do a better job? Sure, Thorn's Midas touch may have diminished a bit, but I think he's still a great president. Done more for this franchise than ANYONE in Nets history, including any player.

    He may not be the best at FA signings (partly due to the fact he made many of those signings to please Kidd). Draft decisions are hit and miss. But he has made some of the greatest trades this franchise has seen. Kidd for Marbury, the Houston 2001 draft deal, the Carter theft and now this Harris deal is looking like it will rank right up there with those trades (Diop, Harris & 2 picks looks good for our "Nets future" - I'd say). Find me a better GM right now than him thats out there and available.

    And Kiki hasn't proven himself here yet. He is the sole reason Denver is where they are right now when he blew them up. Outside of that horrendous KMart contract he gave, he's done a decent job. So no, I dont have much of a problem with these guys at the helm. Obviously, you do.

    Kiki actually has proven himself here, regarding trades. He was the one who got the Swift deal done and the DH deal. Thorn didn't have all that much to do with it.

    But he still does have to prove himself concerning the draft. Which I am very excited to see.

    id welcome him back but by then if we have lebron that means no carter or jefferson so therefore i want harris as the captain with a big C on his jersey. how sweet would that be? THE CAPTAIN DEVIN HARRIS. nd if he gets injured nd kidd is starting NUMBER 5 jason kidd.

    How does that disprove that Kidd merely does things for himself?
