I live in Murrieta, CA which is pretty much connected to Temecula, CA...where Hendo's gym is. Now, I hate people who say they know someone who knows someone who said they heard so and so saying blah blah blah, so take it with a grain of salt. I work at Starbucks and I've got a regular customer who trains at Team Quest. According to her, her brother recently played golf with Hendo who said that the UFC is in the closing parts of putting together a match: Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson. Again, take it with a grain of salt and don't shoot me if I'm wrong. I'm just passing the word along...

I'd take it to have some merrit as it's being discuessed on many mma sites as being a logical fight. p.s. where you been Mamba for the pick'em picks?? I know you got my PM's

A UFC 85 replacement main event? I know Franklin normally needs more time between bouts but it might be a good idea to use a fight like this as a headliner so the Brits don't throw a fit. It is a great match-up which was inevitable so long as Hendo is staying at 185. Problem is it doesn't benefit either fighter, other than to add to their legacy.

Both of these fighters are at a bit of stalemate. They aren't likely to get title shots any time soon. And they aren't getting any younger. and I doubt there is much interest it fighting a can. I think this fights makes perfect sense. Franklin bores me and I really want to see Hendo get a win in the UFC.
