LG has a running tally of confirmed points for MVP and Kobe's got that on lock, and according to some member over there, Dan Patrick was talking about how he heard Kobe has the award locked up.

I don't care about that, I don't care about rumors.

I'm posting this off of pure gut feeling. Kobe Bryant finally achieved the prestigious title of the League's MVP...to go along with his title of the best player in the league.

    Now let's celebrate, Laker fans!

Helll yeah!! The wait is over, bout ****ing time. I was really worried they might rob him again this year cuz of CP3.

But the fact that the Lakers beat the Hornets at the end, and the Lakers got the 1st. seed should be enough to give him the edge.

What a godly performance tonight as well...I mean absolutely flawless, 49/10 on almost all jumpshots, hell of a night.

Way to go Kob, well deserved

Now it would be pretty funny, if Chris Paul or KG will receive it, while we're celebrating. [IMG] But I really hope you're right and Kobe will get the award, that beongs to him.

PJax for coach of the year! Byron Scott is certainly worthy, but I don't think any coach has exceeded expectations for his team more than PJax, and that's with significant injuries to Bynum and others. Lots of turmoil to open the season, too. Sure the Gasol trade was a big help, but the team was doing great before that deal.

Kobe is absolutely deserving of the MVP.

I've seen the tally of the MVP voting up to now, and Kobe has it locked up.

I'm very happy for all Laker fans too.

I'm not going to get excited or anything until the official report is out, but if the reports are true, and he really does have this thing locked, then congradulations Kobe. He definitely deserved it this season

That's one MVP down with one more to go. Lets hope he can get the more important one that's handed out - NBA Finals MVP.

There was a writer on the DP show the other day who also said Kobe will be the MVP this year based on the writers he's spoken with. Kobe will end up with majority vote.

He also brought up a great point about Nash's MVP awards and noted Chris Paul's numbers are a lot better than anything Nash put up in his MVP seasons. He implied Nash didn't deserve to win either time and when basketball historians look back and analyze this era of basketball they'll be wondering why Kobe only won his first MVP award this season.

I think you're dead on on both points.

Kobe is the man. he deserves it this year, and probably deserves the championship too. We'll see how he and the Lakers handle teams that actually play Defense though.
