The new GM and a new Head Coach in Milwaukee have a roster full of non-Skiles-types. Appears to be a good time to attempt to pry some of their better players.

So which Nets would appeal to Skiles?

What do you define as "Skiles type players"?

Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Ben Wallace, Tim Thomas, Tyson Chandler and Jamal Crawford aren't Skiles types of players

Okay. Now would you care to answer the question?

I have no idea who is a Skiles type player. What players has he loved and why?

Judging by John Hammond's past and his unfettered control of the roster, you might want to rephrase the question. (Answer might be the same)

Youre right though, they will be active. Problem is that there are so many bad contracts: Simmons, Bell, Gadzuric, that he will be hard pressed to move all that fast. Since he doesn't have excess picks, he is even more hamstrung in making deals.

I didn't believe it was a serious question. Skiles has coached over 530 NBA games and had well publicized player issues.

Skiles is a control freak that wants everything done his way. No free lancing on the court and no dissenting opinions off the court. He values grit and hard work over talent, believes in defense first and doesn't stop riding players when they make simple mistakes.

There aren't many players from Milwaukee that I think I would even want outside of Redd. Only other ones that I find interesting are Bogut and maybe Bell. And Bell is the only one I could see them parting with. Not sure I'm that interested in him anymore with Kidd gone. I thought he would have made a good combo guard off the bench.

Hammond doesn't hire a coach like Skiles and Skiles doesn't accept a coaching position without an understanding of the direction the roster needs to go in.

The odd thing to me is that Hammond has been very involved with player development in his career while Skiles has a poor track record of developing players as a coach.

I'd kill myself before acquiring Michael Redd, not a good team player.

Your response makes clear that your thread is not serious either.

If your assessment of his "type" of players is correct, it's obvious that none of the Nets players are his type of players. And, frankly, there aren't too many of that type anywhere in the league.

    Trent Hassell. Josh Boone.

He might like Diop and Nachbar, but they are FA.

He would hate RJ, both Wiliamses.

Basically, the Nets have nothing to offer Skiles.

Skiles will like Bogut. Bogut will now be the focal point of that team - which is how it should have been from the start.

Mo Williams absolutely cannot play for the Bucks. He won't last five minutes into the first practice.

Hassell, Diop and Boone are the only Nets I see that could fit into a Skiles system.

    Hammond might like Ager

No player with the Josh Boone's self-confidence fragility would fit what cpawfan described as a Skiles-type player. Hassell is the only guy that MIGHT.

Skiles hasn't demonstrated any desire to feed the post in his previous stops, so I don't see Bogut becoming the focal point.

Do you think they'll keep Redd?

Did Skiles like Marion? Could there be a Mo Williams for Marion trade in the future?

Boone would get plenty of playing time under Skiles though because he'll do what he is told.

I think everyone in the league is hoping Skiles butts heads with Bogut and they can't get along. He's been stuck in Milwaukee for far too long.
