    Boone would get plenty of playing time under Skiles though because he'll do what he is told.

    They can just dust off Gadzuric and get some of their money's worth out of him.

    Judging by John Hammond's past and his unfettered control of the roster, you might want to rephrase the question. (Answer might be the same)

    Youre right though, they will be active. Problem is that there are so many bad contracts: Simmons, Bell, Gadzuric, that he will be hard pressed to move all that fast. Since he doesn't have excess picks, he is even more hamstrung in making deals.
    </div>

    Hammond doesn't hire a coach like Skiles and Skiles doesn't accept a coaching position without an understanding of the direction the roster needs to go in.

    The odd thing to me is that Hammond has been very involved with player development in his career while Skiles has a poor track record of developing players as a coach.
    </div>

    Like I said, the same page, but it will be Hammond's call since he's the one with the control. Hammond has made some smart pick-ups, and a couple that were genius. (He and Dumars did, however, have the worst draft of any team ever: choosing Darko and Delfino at #2 and #25 over (fill in the blanks).

    Skiles, I have always thought, was the kind of coach desperate teams call on, thinking they need a tough taskmaster. Problem is that he has failed to produce.

    Perhaps the most foul prone big man in the league...other than Mikki Moore, of course.

    I'm sure they will, but Skiles needs more than one big of that type

    Designated team goon. Skiles will love him.

    The big question to me is what Hammond's thinks of Yi

    Good question, but when a small market team has a big audience in the biggest market in the world, they aint trading him. Dont know if you saw the story the other day about how every player on the Rockets but Yao has a deal with a Chinese sneaker company. Playing with Yao or Yi is like playing with Kidd. Kidd made everyone else better. Yi and Yao makes everyone else richer.

    I could see Milwaukee dealing with Portland. Mo Williams for Blake, some other player (Frye?) and #1 pick. Portland wants a point with more veteran presence and they have too many picks to realisticly use. PG has to be a valuable position to Skiles (being a former pg himself) and I could see Blake being his guy.

    Skiles hasn't demonstrated any desire to feed the post in his previous stops, so I don't see Bogut becoming the focal point.
    </div>

    Who did he have to feed?

    Cliff Robinson? Tyson Chandler? Ben Wallace?

    He had Eddy Curry, but he was not exactly reliable. (Yet he still scored pretty well considering how much Ben Gordon chucked.) Bogut is the opposite of Curry. Who else is Skiles going to run the offense through?

    Duhon hasn't been a consistent starter since his rookie season, but he has received fairly consistent minutes
