<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Back-to-back three-point shooting titles in the NBA, not to mention consecutive seasons of some pretty gaudy three-point numbers, are a testament to Jason Kapono's ability to shoot from long distances.

But for the better part of the calendar year, that one NBA all-star night in New Orleans notwithstanding, the Raptors' Kapono has not been getting his shot off like he's capable.

The onset of the playoffs has changed that.

Kapono again has his greatest individual skill on display and no number of Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy's sideline tantrums as Kapono drains another three has been able to change that in three games.

Kapono says his scoring ability returned with a substantial nightly workload.</div>

i wonder where this was all season but glad as hell his dialed in now.

he's a difference maker and playing like a legit #2 scoring option in this season when he's called upon to step into that role.

This is how everyone envisioned him at the beginning of the year. You can see how he's always on the Magic's mind. Van Gundy gets so pissed off at his players whenever Kap even gets a shot off.

The best play last night was when Kapono drove on Howard got bumped (fouled) in mid air and didnt get the call, he ran down the baseline arguing the call and then ran to the corner...all you could see if Van Gundy yelling at his players to cover Kapono and then he nails the 3pter and looks back at the bench.

Also I wonder if his great play in the post-season increases his trade-value or changes minds of our GMs whether we keep him for the next season or not.

Kap has hurt Mitchell with his play I think. Defensively he is terrible but what he can offer us offensively has been totally wasted this year.

Why wasn't he dialing in these numbers during the season? or was it because Mitchell put him on hold?

Mitchell doesn't know how to use his players effectively.
