Maybe someone can shed some light on the subject of the Vikings first (2nd round, 47th pick). We've signed a Safety (M.D. Williams) this off season, yet we drafted one with two good QB's still on the board (Broam & Henne)? It's not that I've lost faith in TJ, but damn, it would've been a great piece of mind to get a good young QB to light a competitive fire under TJ or at the very least give them a viable option should TJ go down again. Not to mention the fact that there were some WR still on the board as well. Sure Berriman in a great pickup, and Spicy-Rice showed some promise, but when Wade is your top reciever from a year before it wouldn't have hurt to get some help there as well. Just my thoughts....any feedback?
In a cover 2, you need Ss who can cover. Madieu Williams will take over as one of your safeties....and Sharper is getting up there in years, hence the Tyrell Johnson pick. He's a good S and was really climbing the boards. Its a good pick.

We could've used another young QB now to not only compete with TJ and light a fire under him, but to have insurance

And as for Tyrell; I think he'll play in nickel Safety for you guys next year....
