Dana White is supposedly going to trim the UFC roster by as much as 25% in the next months. most of those guys were already gone or hadn't fought in ages. I still believe they'll try and resign Franca. I'm also hoping this means they'll sign a few more quality fighters now that they've dropped some of the deadweight. I can forsee EliteXC signing a log of these fighters because they're roster is so thin..
I'd keep Hermes Franca (I dunno I just like the guy, and he seemed to bring it), I forget but did he fight Huerta? I'd keep Brad Imes, the guys' not great, but he's big. It's nice to have some size in the HW division. Have say Imes vs. Vera, and let Vera look cool. I'd also keep Shonie Carter, just to have Serra matchup with him for a for fun matchup. Maybe then have a matchup with Hughes.

I think Hermes is only on the list because he asked for his release thinking he could fight outside the US while suspended by the CSAC, but was later informed (after being released) if he fought at all he'd never be able to fight in the US again, thus ruining his plan to fight abroad and then come back to the UFC. I sure hope they do sign him back, he's a good fighter who made a bad choice and owed up to it.
Dave Meltzer (wrestlingobserver) is reporting that as many as fifty more UFC fighters could be cut. Joe "El Dirte" Doerkson is the latest to be axed.
yup, Joe delivered the news to sportsnet.ca sux because he's one of those rare exciting ground fighters who is continually looking to improve his position. here's hoping he's back soon on maybe even on CBS
