Bennett & Choice are my favorite picks made by Jerry & co.

And next year, we'll have 13 draft picks...

    1 1st rounder
    1 2nd rounder
2 3rd rounders (Cleveland and ours)
2 4th rounders (Detroit and ours)
2 5th rounders (ours and compensatory pick for Jacques Reeves)
2 6th rounders (ours and compensatory pick for Julius Jones)
3 7th rounders (ours, compensatory pick for Keith Davis, compensatory pick for Nate Jones)

We have a variety of options; we could still trade for a veteran WR (like Chad Johnson AFTER June 1st, so the Bengals can spread the cap hit out), or we can wait and package picks to move up for an elite WR in next year's draft or trade for that veteran WR...

We are setting ourselves up very nicely...

The only ones I really have a problem with is Bennett and the 6th rounder. Bennett is a good prospect and I guess I shouldn't get too upset with it (its better than reaching for someone)....but I'd have rather seen something else than another TE. Although, Garrett, Jerry, and Wade seemed pretty excited about the pick and talked about how he'll make an immediate impact in the red zone next year.

And as for that OLB.....whatever. I'd rather have gambled on Blake there; or taken a FB like Hillis, or done a couple of other things (Monk perhaps)....but, whatever. Anything at that point is far from a lock to make the roster anyway.

I don't think you get 1 compensatory for every player lost. You factor players lost versus players added and weight that with actual productivity.

    Holy shit, 13 picks!

I liked how we did this year. We brought in a rookie RB who can play more and more as the season goes on, but won't get in Barbers' way. We got a backup CB, which I like too. Bennett was a good pick, I really liked him at A&M. Should be able to possibly crack the roster and get some time.

The round 1 picks were perfect. You guys got Jones and Jenkins. With Jenkins, I think you actually came out better than what had been predicted.

Go make that offer for Chad. Those draft picks are going to give you so much leverage. I really want to see what it would be like to have TO and CJ on the same team.

Compensation picks go out for certain players lost. Some of it has to do with how the player performs (like; awards won). A LOT has to do with salaries.

Thank you to the Texans for giving Reeves 20M.

These are early guesses on the compensation picks. Thankfully, they come from a reliable source and not me predicting them. The guy who predicted the compensation picks does this every year; and he's extremely accurate with it.....

Yeah, I was nervous when NE was sitting on the clock, desperately hoping they wouldn't go CB......

And then when Tampa was on the clock, I was really nervous....

Glad we moved ahead of Houston to get Jenkins.

I personally loved our draft. We got a great RB to spell Barber when need be and we got a corner who can come in and play immediately for us as well...and that was just the first round. In all, I loved the draft and feel we had one of the best drafts out of any team out there this year.

On that note, I'm so glad I'm not a Bears fan, because their draft would have made me want to puke.

Today I was coming to terms with taking Felix Jones, but taking Tashard Choice made me love this collection of guys. He's going to be a solid player of us.

Forgot one other thing: We also have the Dolphin's 6th rounder next year for the Ferguson trade. But we'll likely lose our 6th rounder for Pacman.

And if Pacman doesn't get reinstated, we'll have the Titans 4th rounder next year AND we'll keep our 6th rounder....

Obviously, I'd rather lose the 6th round pick for the Pacman trade....but its worth noting anyway.
