You are absolutely out of your god damn mind. I don't care how many points he scores or how talented he is. It's irrelevant. This guy plays out of control. He's a hot head and an extremely poor decision maker and defender. He'd be awful on any team with structure. It's pretty easy to see why he was benched in New Orleans and why Chicago wanted nothing to do with him.
You're on crack. The dude's offensive upside is so bright. If he can keep his head straight off the court, his potential on the court to be a top 10 offensive player in the league is there. Denver's got a bright future with Melo and JR. The emergence of Smith has also made it possible to shop Iverson this year.

I see someone with more offensive abilities and passion than most of the people on our roster. Honestly, you'd really turn him away from being a bench player?
He jacks up insane shots. He isn't the smartest player and that hurts him in the long run if you ask me.

The kid is young, he'll learn, eventually.</div> Learn what? How to play defense? From who? Certainly not anyone on Denver's staff. He'll be just another Ricky Davis, a good bench/role player who can score some but can't play good defense.

Or maybe Darius Miles? Or Eddie Griffin? Or perhaps Stephon Marbury? In addition to his issues keeping his head straight OFF the court, teams need to worry about him keeping his head straight ON the court. Just because he can jump out of the gym and go on a hot streak every once in a while from the 3 point line doesn't mean it's OK that he consistently takes bad shots. He's a loser. Plain and simple.
Good skills but no bball IQ and no D. He's the consummate jock player. Can make crazy shots but is all bells and whistles. The only problem is i wouldn't mind having him on the Nets.
JR is a BALLER. hes already better than ricky davis, and hes 21. he should still be in college. give him 5-7 years and he could average 30+ a game.
I loved JR's 3 pointer from 30+ feet out when there were 2 Lakers in front of him, when Denver was down 4 and needed to score anything. I laughed.
