Do you know if they're going to show this movie at Liberty Science Center? It's the closest one to my house.

No. They just show boring shit that makes you immediately fall asleep.

Go to the Palisades Center in West Nyack. It's an easy drive and there's a Dave and Buster's there, too. Fun mall.

Only 5 more days! Man, I can't wait. This movie looks badass. Joker looks scary as hell too with the make-up and shit.

I'm super freaking pumped for this movie. I won't proclaim it as the best superhero movie ever, but it definitely looks like it'll give Iron Man a run for it's money for that title. I have full intentions on seeing this opening week, it's just a matter of when.

Ah I forgot about that mall. My mom used to take me there when I was a kid.

Just take 287 all the way up to New York right?

HBO ran a special on it too. The camera was so heavy, they needed special gear to film the movie.

Nolan isn't a fan of CGI, so when the truck flips, the truck really is flipping. I too was amazed.

With all the hype this movie is receiving I would be highly upset if it were to disappoint.

best movie of the year so far, imo.

i came out and was just blown away. i'm not gonna lie, i honestly believed that it wouldn't live up to the hype...but wow, Heath Ledger may very well be the 2nd (or3rd?) person (after james dean i believe) to win an academy award after their death.

im watching it again on sunday.

He would become only the second if he won.

James Dean never won after death, I thought.

I thought he was nominated twice, but failed to win both times.

Ledger won't win, either. The Academy doesn't really favor comic book movies and most of the Oscar talk is blog generated.

i diasgree. this movie is as much a character-study as "Taxi Driver".

despite the fact that the academy doesn't favour comic book movies, heath ledger just gives you a chill when he's on-screen. he stole the show in literally every scene. From his amazing "magic trick" entrance, to his emotional and psychological breakdown of batman, when you saw Ledger, you just thought yourself "wow, the commitment". You can't give heath all the credit though as chris nolan was brilliant, but hey, i'm vouching for Heath. I know it may be blasphemous to say it, but put Nicholson to shame.

I took the day off and walked right in to the 10:45 show. I thought for sure that I'd walk out & proclaim like Comic Book Guy (Simpsons), "Best movie ever!"

It was obvious that TDK or Iron Man were going to be THE summer movie. I have them as 1a & 1b. The movie I feel sorry for is the next one I see which'll probably be the X Files Sequel next week.

I've been home for awhile and still don't know exactly what to think. The reviews don't do it justice. It was long but well paced and cerebral. Toward the end, there was a resemblance to the 1989 installment. Though, Nolan went out of his way not to make it too dark ala Tim Burton. FWIW; I refer to Joel Schumacher as the guy who almost killed Batman.

Heath Ledger was real good. The thing w/ the tongue was really annoying. Though, my favoirite interpretation of the Joker is on the animated series The Batman. It would have been real hard to foul up that script and yes Heath was way better than Jack. The paraphrasing of Nietzche at the beginning and some of Mr J's musings were spot on. I loved the lampooning of the status quo.

Gary Oldman & Morgan Freeman were solid as always. Maggie Gyllenhall was an upgrade over Mrs. Cruise. Eric Roberts as the crime boss was the best supporting character IMO. Eckhart was an upgrade over Tommy Lee Jones.

There will be a 3rd installment IMO. I hope its not Catwoman as was hinted at. I'd like to see the Riddler and Bane get another chance just no Mr. Freeze or Poison Ivy.

Morgan Freeman is the man. Definitely one of the highlights of the first Batman.
