6'9 Freshman from UCLA. 19 years old of age can play PF or C position. Can score inside and out consistently a horse inside and has leadership and plays with intensity. . Excellent rebounder and defender according to Chad Ford from ESPN. Lateral quickness, slow floor runner and leaping abilities are his biggest weaknesses. Some scouts compare him to Elton brand and others to David West. Worst case a Sean May. One of the things that jump out to me is that just like most lottery players he has huge potential and needs to develop. But he is still an impact player. So expect him to make a name for himself right off the bat. He is definetaly a player i would love to draft. <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t;object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0h5eWLK_c2Q&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0h5eWLK_c2Q&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t;object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0h5eWLK_c2Q&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0h5eWLK_c2Q&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div>
What some critics say is that he needs to work on his body to be a better play in the NBA. H e needs to condition himself and lose 15-20 lbs <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t;object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-TQkWr8tQ3Q&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-TQkWr8tQ3Q&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t;object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-TQkWr8tQ3Q&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-TQkWr8tQ3Q&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div>
This guy is strictly a below the rim player who won't be able to push around pros like the high school and college kids he has been dealing with. He is also fat and has never committed himself to conditioning. When he is drafted, he will not be an acceptable athlete. That means there's going to be a period where he is getting in shape and it could take a while for him to get where he needs to be and make adjustments. In this draft, though, I think he should go right around where the Nets pick. He is a borderline starter/role player, but I love his completely unique skillset and I don't think there is any way he will completely bust. If you expect an All-Star you will be very disappointed, but if you want a very productive player that can make things easier for players like Harris and Carter he could be a nice pick. Very safe choice. He doesn't have the "home run" possibility of others. If they take Love, the Nets run the risk of being like one of those teams that passed on Amare.

He seems like a solid prospect to me as well. Good body, big enough to bang down low, has good timing on defense (although not great athletically) and can board. Plus, he's smart -- maybe he'll get some minutes in Frank's rotation. It's obviously way too early and I'm not as informed as some, but he reminds me of Duncan a little bit. Oh and Claud, that was one of the absolute worst highlight vids ever posted. They took like 4 or 5 plays and replayed them from different angles.
Claud, just to let you know, there is a draft forum here with a prospects sub forum http://sportstwo.com/forums/NBA-Draft-f111.html
His offense reminds me a lot of the few games I saw Josh Boone play in college. Those little lay-ups and strictly under the hoop. The only thing I see him doing well is inbounding to a running Harris and Jefferson and I'm sure we can find someone cheaper if that is all we need.

RUSSEL WESTBROOK for hire all the way. lets stop drafting big stiffs and find someone to egnite our running game. Plus it will give us more reason to trade Marcus.

I think he'll be a slightly better Scott Padgett. Borderline players generally don't stick unless they can shoot or defend, and K-Love is too short and slow to be a good defender. West and Brand seem like crazy comparisons - he can't jump like West and he's not strong like Brand. I think he's a SF/PF version of Steve Kerr, and that's a best case.

Kevin Love is intriguing. He's not athletic, I think everyone gets that, but does he need to be with Stro, Sean, Boone on the team? If the rap on our big man is for lacking fundamentals and polish, Love fills a need. I think Frank would appreciate getting a guy who's more of a basketball player than athlete, and that would transpire to playing time and exceeding in a Nets system that is based on a quick tempo and contingent on a rebound/outlet pass.

Love is shorter, stronger, can handle the ball and create his own shots. He's also in a completely different class of passer than Boone. Where Boone might have him is his ability to guard NBA centers. Love is too short. Boone has legit length and is really progressing in his post defense. A combination of the two might actually be very effective, especially with Carter running pick and rolls.
The thing that worries me most about Love is that everything in his life and everything he's done on a basketball court has come way too easy for him. He really hasn't had to work hard or really commit himself to anything, and to be a really good NBA player - especially with the physical deficiencies he has - you have to work UNBELIEVABLY hard. You can't fool around at all. There's no way of telling if he's willing to do that.

It sounds to me like you're describing a less athletic, better passing Boki Nachbar.

Love 4 ROY! Seriously, if we really do draft him, it'd probably be worse/just as bad as hearing "Antoine Wright!" while Hakim Warrick was still on the board.
