Statue of Oscar De La Hoya

    for the past week the guys over at AM570 (Steve Hartman and the Loose Cannons) have been bragging about how they don't like the idea of putting a statue of De La Hoya in front of staples center. They think they should put other Laker players like Kareem or Jerry West, what do you guys think because of kind of lost on why they should have a statue of Oscar when he barely box here in staples center or LA.

    I guess they're just trying to suck up to the Hispanic community (I'm Hispanic btw, to the people that didn't know)? That's my only guess.

    Kareem should definitely get a statue before that clown, and I'm an Oscar apologist.

    Several years ago, I was almost run over by Oscar in Old Pasadena when he ran a red light in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday.

    Things like that greatly lower your respect for someone.
