<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'> Send ‘Melo to New Jersey, Says Denver Writer May 12, 2008, 7:09 am Woody Paige, a Denver Post writer, thinks it’s time the Nuggets sent Carmelo Anthony packing and adds New Jersey would be nice place for the All-Star and Olympian to land. It’s just a suggestion, not even a rumor, but Woody Paige offers up a number of interconnected deals that would put the 23-year-old ‘Melo in a Nets’ uniform and send New Jersey’s three free agents–and no doubt other assets–out west. Pick and roll with it - Woody Paige - Denver Postt</div>

Haha, that guy's nuts. Krstic for three of the Nuggets best 6 players? He's worth AT LEAST Kobe+benchies+pickzzzz. Anyway, I like the idea of bringing 'Melo over, at least 'till we get to Brooklyn and he reunites with his childhood gang.
Now that is one of the most laughable ideas I have ever seen. It would certainly be nice if an injured scrub center could get us Melo, Camby, and Kleiza though.
Woody is a crazy old man. You people have seen him on TV, right? Linas is a keeper for Denver; and he didnt say how we could possibly match the salaries of Camby/Melo. I'm sure Denver would love the contracts of RJ or VC, both of whom are older then Melo. Whaaaa???
yeah woody is certainly a personality on TV. very enjoyable to watch and entertaining. I am just wondering how AI is feeling. he wanted to go to a contender, and he is on the most talented team in the league. and now he hears melo is being shopped. he must be like "WTF?!?!" trade VC for melo..i wouldnt mind seeing AI and VC team up. both unselfish. both great passers. both have had playoff experience past the 1st round. and nets get melo. a young 26ppg scorer. not too shabby..
I didn't happen to read the article, but did now. I wouldn't do THAT trade. but melo in jersey I wouldn't mind.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>5. The Nets just named Kiki Vandeweghe general manager. The former Nuggets general manager knows the team. Make a deal with him. Vande- weghe drafted Anthony third overall. Let Kiki have him again. The Nets are trying to rebuild as they build a new arena. Carmelo Grows in Brooklyn. The Nuggets trade Anthony and Camby and Linas Kleiza for center Nenad Krstic (a sign-and-trade). They then sign unrestricted free-agent small forward Bostjan Nachbar, late of the Nets. Would the Nets want Kenyon Martin back? Too much to hope for. Nevertheless, the Nuggets would be under the cap and able to sign another free agent (Duhon).</div> Whaaaat? DO IT THRON! Too bad that trade makes 0 sense.
PG - Devin Harris SG - Vince Carter SF - Carmelo Anthony PF - Josh Boone C - Marcus Camby Richard Jefferson Linas Kleiza Sean Williams Marcus Williams Stromile Swift Trenton Hassell They'd have to throw in Nene IMO.
That would be awesome. I'm all for getting Lebron, but I wouldn't shed a tear if we only ended up with Carmelo. The man can be a headcase, but if he manages to straightened out, then it's all postivies from there.
