    2nd half - A (he put LBJ and Kobe #s...only guy in the league to average 21 6 and 5)

    average? B....its a B year for mr.carter....seems fair to me

    C ...he played really good for a stretch. But that's pretty much it. Didn't help the team to too many wins. And was only entertaining to watch in about half the games.

    Actually, I'll bump this to a C++

    ...given that he was broken most of the year. Around a week before the all-star break his improvement was noticeable, and of course he finished strong post-Kidd-trade.

    The man played with an ankle that required surgery, didn't complain once, suited up and played to the best of his abilities. After the cortisone shot around January his play improved and he became the go-to leader down the stretch. The man isn't always motivated but I am certain he will be next year when he has to prove to the world that he still has got it. B overall. Injuries happen.

    I say a B because nobody knows how hurt he was but he still sucked it up at the beginning.

    would have given him B/B+, but he wasn't impressive even before injury. though after the Kidd's trade he was decent.

    He was injured Game 5 of the season....At that point the Nets were 4-1.
