I know that I'm not reading everything that is published in the press, but I'm very curious as to what the consensus of NFL-types (players, coaches and executives) are to all of this. I'm looking for links and quotes from across the country on this as my perception is that NFL-types are completely sick of this story, want to move forward, and aren't upset like some fans and media types. I've seen former coaches Bill Cowher and Jimmy Johnson downplay the importance of this. On the other hand, I've seen Mark Schlereth up-play this. Dan Rooney is satisfied, but of course, Goodell was his choice for commissioner. Please show my that NFL-types are generally upset by this
I just got through reading this feedback from Tomlinson: http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10827349 <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Monday, Tomlinson admitted he had been following the case closely and added it was important that the Patriots were caught and their taping system stopped. If they weren't, Tomlinson said, the team likely would have continued its spying and "who knows what would have happened or how they would have benefited?" "I really wanted to see what happened with (Matt) Walsh," said Tomlinson, who is promoting the Gatorade Tiger Moonshot Challenge. "Initially I thought he had some different evidence. But it wasn't the case. "I think there are always going to be people who look for an advantage. The Patriots were trying to get an edge. It's just great that they got caught."</div>
Nice article....I expect to get what you always get when a team or player is screwed by something....the players will follow the code for the most part, acknowldging that it happened, that it was unfortunate, and then claim it wasnt the reason they lost, when deep down they know it was....
