Also, Trevor Ariza will most likely be back in action, which is something else to look forward to</div> its already at seven, lawl, but i guess that means your praying worked </div> Yes I know, I remember game six too, that's when Horry cheap shotted West in the back Must be on something when I was posting...
Well it looks like the Lakers will play against the Spurs and I think that the Lakers have a big shot in beating the Spurs in 6 games. I hope its in 5 games but we will see what happens
Phil needs to put Mbenga on alert that if Robert Horry does any dirty shit and try to take Kobe out or hurt his hand even more, then DJ needs to deliver a vicious fuckin' elbow that splits Horry open. The Spurs are a dirty, physical team. We can't be afraid to get physical.
IMO the Spurs are going to be a harder opponent to face than the Hornets would have been for this Lakers team. It's hard for me to pick a winner. I say it goes to Game 6, pick'em for the winner. If Duncan controls the game and becomes the player we know he can be, I see the Spurs being the victor because Gasol can't guard Duncan. Duncan will make him his bitch. Kobe has admitted Bowen is the guy he hates going against the most. So it should be interesting.

There was a quote by Duncan floating around the internet where he was giving praise to Gasol when we matched up with them the final meeting of the season. I'm not worried about Duncan...Gasol's got his number. I agree with you on the Spurs being harder than the Hornets. I preferred the Hornets. I thought we could've easily taken them in 5. Both times they beat us this year, we didn't have a dominant big to rely on in the post. But in the games we did...we blew them out in one game..and blew a 30 pt lead in another. Bowen gives Kobe some troubles, but with Gasol and Odom, Bowen's effect on Kobe should be minimal.
Pending any injuries, I just don't see San Antonio being able to stop all 3 of our main players and then we'll also have Ariza back, who will give us a huge lift off of the bench.
Farmar should be good this series. He's got more speed than Fisher and Parker is no where near as physical as Deron. I expect Farmar to get back to normal.

The way he was playing before the allstar break? Before the Gasol trade? I highly doubt that will happen, especially against a point guard like Tony Parker. Farmar will get burned and abused defensively, he won't be able to stop Parker. Honestly, I was hoping we could've played the Hornets. The Spurs are a dirty team, and I'm sure this is going to be a heated series. Watch out for Bowen, he's probably going to start attacking Kobe's finger, or maybe try to re-injure Ariza's foot. Robert Horry, once a gift from God in my eyes, has turned into a dirty cheap artist (I wonder why, Popovich anyone?), and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried injuring someone, although I don't think he will try anything on Kobe, there is too much history and respect between those two. Manu the flop artist is going to be a huge pest for us as well. Not to mention we still have to worry about Tim Duncan, and I'm sure Michael Finley will probably kill us like he always seems to do when we play against them. All in all, this is going to be a very tough series. In my opinion, whoever comes out of the Western Conference will win the championship. I think both teams are better, and have outplayed the Celtics/Pistons this postseason Go Lakers
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (The Dream @ May 17 2008, 10:51 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>both should be entertaining series. Although I want to see the Hornets beat the Spurs, I'll have to admit that the spurs will be a tougher matchup for L.A. primarily, because of Ducan. I still don't want to watch the boring ass spurs so..............go hornets!!!!</div> I preferred Hornets... I think Pau and Duncan would cancel each other out. Fisher will take on parker like he did with Deron... But now we could just put Ariza on Tony to make life easy LOL Kobe > Manu... enough... Still... i still think that this wont be a walk in the park... we need to take advantage of home court and not let them steal 1 from us

Bowen will get an elbow to the jaw once Kobe feels that his finger is being threatened LOL!!! +1 on the note that the Spurs are dirty... Horry even gave Paul a cheapshot... Tsk Tsk *Sorry for the Double post
I'd go with the Lakers. They are clicking. Duncan will play well, but Gasol will do a decent job on him. The thing that will bug Duncan is that the Lakers have 2 athletic big men with length that can score and defend. A slashing Odom, or an open Gasol will probably get Duncan in some foul trouble some games just like they did with Boozer. It will be a tough battle, the two best coaches in the league are in this series.
