I think this series is going seven if not six games.

If I were the Lakers, I would try my best to avoid a game seven with the Spurs.

So the finals could look like

Lakers vs Boston (what the media/many fans want)
Lakers vs Detroit (Lakers can get revenge on the Pistons for breaking up the Kobe/Shaq dynasty) I said this would be the finals when the Lakers acquired Gasol, but I'm not so sure now with the Spurs in the picture
Spurs vs Boston (meh, low scoring defensive series, but 6 all-stars)
Spurs vs Detroit (they did go 7 games in 05)

At this point all you can do is guess, so I will go ahead and stick with my original prediction.

Lakers in 7 over the Spurs
    Lakers in 6 over Detroit

The Spurs is a tough team, and It is going to be good series between Lakers and Spurs, but I say the Lakers in 6 or 7, as we have the homecourt advantage.

Only losers or college kids miss Laker games for HW. C'mon Brian, get your fuckin' priorities straight. You sound like a girl, go buy some tampons, cheese puffs, curl up on the couch and watch the damn game.

Whatever, I'm starting to think screw homework. I've been so pumped up for this game since last week, I would hate to miss it. Now of course, I could always study and watch the game at the same time, but I've found out recently that it's pretty much a waste of time and I get nothing accomplished. I'm probably just going to finish up my HW, and study a little (probably miss a little of the first half, no big deal), and catch up during the second half. Decisions decisions

Now obviously I'm wasting my time right now on the internet, but whatever. I suck at time management

how have we done against the spurs during the season. **** this game is bigtime, hope our youngins can handle the pressure! anyways, manu scares me, he's a flop bastard, but he's the best at it, a master at cheating his way into every point, every steal, he is relentless, manu seems to give kobe a little bit of a head ake everytime he has the ball and kobe's gaurding. well maybe...idk, a couple of games ive seen manu has played his very best against kobe, we'll see though...man i am fucked, ive had like 8 red bulls and havent slept in two days..fukin girls man! GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!every body pray!!!!!pray to allah and buddha and jesus and RA and ras tafari and Jim Morrison and whichever other god ive forgotten, pray to the lord lakers win!!!!!!GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't have asked for a better WCF (not including the Rockets ofcourse.)

This is gonna be a good game one, I can feel it. Both of these teams want to be in the finals, and both believe they are the best teams in the league.

Tough luck for Sasha. Oh well. He'll get it next time [IMG]

All in all, good first quarter. We just have to continue playing good defense and keep hitting our shots. Great shot by Farmar near the end of the first btw, we'll need his shooting in this series.

So I'm not able to watch the game at this time, but why has Kobe only taken two shots so far? I'm ok with a passive Kobe, but when he's taken the least amount of shots on the team (next to Turiaf) at this point, that's probably not a recipe for success.

This team came in with the wrong mindset. They came in believing they could coast through the Spurs in game 1 just like they did to the Nuggets and the Jazz. Odom went back to trying to lay everything in, instead of dunking, Gasol turned soft again, Vujacic started throwing shit up, etc...

They've got a quarter and a half to lay down some D, get smart shots, and grow some fuckin' balls. This isn't going to be an easy series, we need to learn that.

    We're getting killed right now...

Time to hit the books. This is a seven game series, so expect adjustments to be made.

i really think that we can win this one. we just need to cut it to a single digit deficit when we go into the 4th.
