Too bad I don't give a damn about the PF debate. Kobe seems very calm in the post-game conference, not surprising, he knows we have this.
There's only been one close game in the series and it was Game 1, but at one point the Spurs led by 20. In Game 2 we blew them out of the gym by 30 and tonight they beat us by 20. You would think the WCF would be a lot more competitive and every game would go down to the wire like the Utah series. I'm trying to make sense of it, but normally when teams get blown out in games it's lack of effort and throwing in the towel. Both Odom and Gasol let their frustration get the best of them in this game because the ball wasn't going in the basket for them. When their shots aren't falling it's mentally tough to go down the other court and play defense for these guys. I expect Game 4 to be the most competitive game yet and will go down to the final possession.

Every Laker being interviewed in the post game has been calm, cool, and collective. They seem very confident against this team. A far cry from the interviews they were giving a year ago against Phoenix. It's all about execution.
It seems like Fisher's leadership has kept everyone calm in these situations. Anyways, I'm not exactly worried. The idea of us sweeping the defending world champions is kind of ridiculous. They won tonight, they pretty much dominated throughout. With that being said, I expect Phil the make some adjustments and I expect the Lakers to come out next game playing at a higher level. Kobe played out of his mind. He was raining 3's in the second half, and took everything the Spurs gave him and some. He makes Bruce Bowen look like he's older than Mutombo. Odom would be a nice player if he was consistent both offensively and defensively. Lamar should be able to provide 17ppg and 11rpg on a nightly basis with his size, length, ballhandling, and athleticism. He should have no trouble driving, and getting in the paint. Whoever wins game 4 has a good chance to win this series. If the Lakers go up 3-1 they would have only have to win 1/3 games with 2 games at home. If the Spurs win, they would have some momentum going back to LA and a chance to go up 3-2.

We were getting good shots last night, they just weren't falling. I did expect a loss as well, but I think the Lakers will bounce back on Tuesday and put up a HUGE fight. LO, who takes blame for the loss (though you can't hold one player accountable, good for him stepping up like that), was missing layups that he makes 90% of the time. Gasol NEEDS TO PLAY STRONGER! The only shots he should take are those wide open jumpers and EASY layups, no sissy flip shots. Manu was shooting LIGHTS OUT last night. Expect LA to up the defense on Tuesday. I don't see why PJax hasn't tried Ariza on Manu yet. That may just be the answer to slowing him down in SA.
