<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Rocky Mountain News - Rumors of a trade between the Nets and Nuggets involving All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony are not as likely as reports indicated earlier this week, according to The Rocky Mountain News. Ties between New Jersey general manager Kiki Vandeweghe and Denver seemed to spark the rumors, but trading for Anthony doesn't seem to be a very good option for the Nets. Not only does Carmelo have has fair share of off-court issues, and it would probably take quite a bit to acquire him.</div> Source
It won't happen. I don't know why this rumor started. Jay-Z wants to sign Lebron. Plus should we really give up our lottery pick, Sean Williams, Marcus Williams, and even more for the one dimensional player in Carmelo?

The guy isn't even one-dimensional! One dimensional is a guy like JJ Redick or Reggie Evans: they specialize in one thing (shooting and rebounding, respectively) but don't do much other than that one thing. That can't be said about Carmelo. He's a good shooter, he can drive to the hoop, he has a lot of go-to moves on offense, he rebounds well and can take over a game. The fact that he isn't a good defender doesn't make him one-dimensional.
This really isn't news. If the Nuggets GM traded him, he'd be with Chris Wallace looking for a new job...or get promoted.
