I'm thinking about doing a lil busness on the side of selling Mitchell & Ness throwbacks. What has everyone found to be the average price on them that they would feel comfortable spending? Think of this as my board meeting...lol. Honest feedback, please

Are throwbacks still the thing? I thought that fad faded out a while ago?

I really couldn't tell you. I always thought they were overpriced for an article of clothing...no matter what name was on the back.

There has to be a better way to make some side money. Summer is coming up...car wash service? Lawn mowing (I used to do this in 7-8th grade, made $100/week) should be an easy thing to do, too. Depending on the size of the lawn anywhere from $10-$25?

Yeah, thier not as big as before, but they still sell big around "team-towns" the older set gobbles up the jerseys of the old players (ie; Montana, Namath, W. Payton, G. Sayers...you know the Legends. I appreciate the feedback though. I don't think I'll be mowing many lawns in Kuwait though...lol.

    Holy shit...Kuwait?

Maybe you can sell them there. I've got no idea what is popular over there.

I like the idea of throwbacks, but they are massively overpriced.....I might buy a Csonka in aqua if it was around $50 but $250 and up is too steep....Ive got a Marino from early 90s that I never wore because it was a gift and it was too small the day I got it....Its not really a throwback, its an original, but I doubt that would hurt its case....perhaps i should Ebay it, or i guess I could give it to my son in a few years....

yeah I always thought the prices where outrageous. But I'm gonna try to sell em for around 100 and see what happens. I mean I figure if Reebok jersey's of current players sell in stores for 75-100 I should be able to sell Mitchell & Ness ones of Legends and retired players. I'm gonna check my supplier today for same Sean Taylor and Tillman jerseys. Tillman Jersey's still sell pretty good among the military crowd

Have you guys seen those stores/websites that will build you a customized jersey with any name or number printed onto it? Beef, you might want to consider comparing the prices of building a custom Czonka opposed to buying one "as is" from a more expensive vendor. Unless you are buying a jersey that Czonka actually wore on the field, does it really matter as long as it looks and feels like the real thing?

Those sites generally restrict names of current or former players....which sucks if you have a common last name like Smith....you cant get a Cowboys jersey with your name on it from NFLSHOP.com....

I got my Barry jersey for 60, but thats a Nike, and my West jersey was 25, and thats a Hardwood Classic. I have my eye on a Billy Simms jersey but I dont want to pay 100 for a jersey that people wont know who he is.

I'm glad throwbacks aren't cool anymore. Now us real sports fans can wear them without being confused for people who are just trying to fit in with the current fad. I stopped wearing all my jerseys for a while because of that.

Well fortunately for me, my favorite players ever are currently playing. The only throwback I have to worry about is a Randy Moss Minny Jersey, but I already have two of those.

That's what's up. I've been trying to get the ones that other don't wear. Like I just picked up a Lawrence Taylor 1986 jersey with the memorial "Spider" patch. But I've been stuck on getting old school players lately...I'm feelin' those right now

lol...man, this page is full of wise-asses...lol. I'm talking about the players that have hard to find jerseys or of players that people forget about. Or even alterations of big players jerseys that you dont see often...like these...

Why should it matter if people know who it is? You'll be buying for yourself, to make you happy and because you want it...screw what others think
