The fight is just six days away and I am pumped for this match and the entire fight card! For this title match, I'm going with BJ via superior striking. Sherk is going to expend a lot of energy to try and take BJ down cause if a larger Hughes and GSP had problems getting him down, Sherk will too. BJ will take advantage of those time and make him pay with strikes. If he doesn't flat out catch him,BJ will eventually put Sherk down and GnP him. Sherk has a great gas tank but it'll be different when he uses a lot of energy trying to get that take down. and if he does manage to get one early.. BJ will bounce right back up or get top position. A motivated BJ is a scary thing IMO.. just look at what he did to Gomi, Pulver and Stevenson. I mean Pulver and Joe were never in the fight, he put them in survival mode right away!
Gonna go with BJ Penn on this one, like you said a motivated BJ Penn is a dangerous thing. Hes got too much skill.

Hes got too much skill.</div> I don't see Sherk having much for Penn. BJ has good defense in his guard and goes for submissions. Sherk is going to try and lay on him for 25 minutes and maybe try to use his ground and pound, but his arms are too short and BJ will use a rubber guard to create distance. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one end with BJ putting Sherk in a triangle or x-plata.
