<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In his regular Sunday column, Dave D’Alessandro reveals that the Nets, while willing to discuss any type of trade, “are aggressively shopping Marcus Williams to anyone who answers the phone.” Williams had his ups and downs all season, but was challenged in the press by Lawrence Frank back in March. Dave also writes the Nets would take Michael Beasley over Derrick Rose if they got the #1 pick.</div>

I remember how excited Nets fans were when we drafted Marcus.

thank goodness the front office would have enough sense to take Beasley over Rose.

Sorry if I sound like one of those "I am insider who knows everything" d-bags, but I do have some info and I'm 90% sure they would pick Rose. But it's pretty much a moot point unless they get REALLY lucky.

Would the Nets be interested in a Williams/Farmar swap?

Marcus and Frank are a bad combination and both parties are equally to blame. For all the talent he has, Marcus is lazy and Frank has no idea what to do with him essentially turning him into a jump shooter that brings the ball up.

I think Marcus can still be a nice player but he needs another coach telling him the same things Frank was to get it to really resonate. He needs that Hubie Brown or Rick Adelman who will help make all the groundwork Frank has laid really click so he can figure out where he fits in the league.

He has the talent to make it but there is no question he needs some hand holding and he hasn't put forth enough effort to merit it nor do I believe we have the assistants capable of giving it to him. Can anyone seriously see Tom Barrise or Pat Sullivan relating to Marcus and helping him through another film breakdown of nonstop critiques from Frank? I sure can't.

It's best for both parties and I hope Marcus can find a team that will work with him and help him fulfill his potential.

He has zero value, so it's not a story.

don't say that! you're lowering his trade value [IMG] which is lower than a bag of balls.

I blame Marcus. It's not Franks fault kid thinks he is the greatest player ever and doesn't need to play whatsoever on D and instead of setting up teammates on O he's jacking up jump shots. I mean he is "0" and so his trade value. And I seriously doubt he'll turn things around with different coach. To turn things around you have to swallow your ego and work hard - exactly what Williams can't do.

He was so good at setting up his teammates in college too. It's quite strange that he's turned into a "shoot first" guard.

I think it's b/c he felt the need to prove he was good enough to start. Same thing with Ager and him firing up shots. Marcus will be a good starter in this league it's just he was always disgruntled b/c he was supposed to be the heir to Kidd and the we brought in Harris and Devin was automatically named the future of the franchise. He doesn't have the type of game to be a backup.

Think we could get a 2nd rounder for him? I'd take that.

Go ahead and explain to me why the Nets should trade for Farmar.

And honestly, it's getting annoying being treated like a non-Nets fan.
