Rogan thinks Forrest is definitely winning the fight. Now maybe it's because I've been watching for just over a year now, but I think Griffin dominated the second round 10-8, outside of that, I thought Quinton's won every other round.
Forrest is feather-fisted. Rampage face looks perfect. He looks like he could fight another 10 rounds.
I think Griffin won the 5th round and had a 10-8 in the 2nd. I think the worst he can do is a draw. The 3rd and 4th were close rounds.
SD for Page. Im calling it now. Forrest just gave up those leg kicks after using it so effectively in the earlier rounds.
Winner and new light heavy weight champion of the world.. Forrest Griffin! We need a Griffin/Jackson II!
I wonder if there is any damage to Quinton's knee? Where does Forrest go from here? Does this shake up the whole LHW division? Rampage gets thrown back into the mix with Chuck, Thiago, Lyoto, and Wanderlei. This opens up the door for a Rampage/Wanderlei III for the #1 contender, right? I read some rumors that the winner of Chuck/Rashad would get a chance to fight the winner of this fight, as well. We'll definitely need to see a rematch of Griffin/Rampage.
Adalaide Byrd Round 1: 10-9 Griffin Round 2: 10-8 Griffin Round 3: 10-9 Griffin Round 4: 10-9 Jackson Round 5: 10-9 Jackson Nelson Hamilton Round 1: 10-9 Jackson Round 2: 10-8 Griffin Round 3: 10-9 Griffin Round 4: 10-9 Jackson Round 5: 10-9 Griffin Roy Silbert Round 1: 10-9 Griffin Round 2: 10-9 Griffin Round 3: 10-9 Griffin Round 4: 10-9 Jackson Round 5: 10-9 Griffin According to Sherdog... how the **** was round 1 scored to Griffin? That's some bullshit...

Ah, well, that wasn't the best PPV card I've seen but the main event was epic enough to make up for it. Griffin vs. Aurelio Tyson is the new "Decision Dan". The guy just doesn't finish fights. He isn't going to be a title contender until he does. Every time I see him fight I wonder how much he would benefit from a featherweight division in the UFC. He doesn't have knockout power and his little limbs prevent him from getting submissions. Marcus Aurelio looked like crap, as usual, and further proves his win over Gomi was a fluke. Koscheck vs. Lytle Predictable result for this one. Lytle had nothing for Koscheck, who took him down and opened his head up almost "like a goat's vagina" but not quite. Joe Rogan should ease off the crack before these shows. Lytle is a tough kid but he is a gatekeeper at best. This fight should set up Koscheck vs. one of Alves, Hughes, or Sanchez. Stevenson vs. Tibau Stevenson by guillotine choke? Wow, no kidding! Yeah, Tibau had Joe Daddy in a bit of trouble in the first round with the arm lock, but nothing Joe couldn't handle. I don't know what is next for Joe. Cote vs. Almeida So everyone was saying that this fight would be Big Dog by submission or Cote by knockout. Well, in a night lacking great finishes, this boring decision victory for Cote fit right in. I'm happy for Patrick but he doesn't deserve a shot at Silva. He should fight Michael Bisping and then the winner of that fight should get Silva. I like Cote but that fight was terrible and it does nothing to lead into a fight with the Spider. Griffin vs. Jackson This was a highly entertaining and memorable main event. In the first round Rampage had him hurt and couldn't finish him, and then Griffin stole the round at the end. Griffin got Jackson down in the second round and dominated him. Jackson's off-his-back game is horrible. Then they split the last three rounds kickboxing with Griffin winning three and five, and Jackson squeaking out round four. There is going to be some controversy over this fight but it is the fighters fault for letting it go to decision. Griffin will make an interesting champion but who do they put against him in his first defense? The LHW division is ridiculously stacked so any opponent (Liddell, Evans, Machida, Wanderlei Silva, Thiago Silva, Jackson) will make for a tough fight for him. He's up for it, though. Guillard vs. Siver Siver looks like James Bond but he got KTFO by Guillard. If Melvin lays off the coke and gets some BJJ into his toolkit he could be a champion.

The fourth round was a tough one to score because Jackson had the most significant striking but Griffin almost had him in a triangle choke. Seeing the look on Rampage and Juanito's faces after the fifth round ended convinced me they thought they had lost, though.
$60,000 bonuses have gone out to Cole Miller (submission of the night), Melvin Guillard (knockout of the night), and Forrest Griffin and Rampage Jackson (fight of the night) for their performances at UFC 86.
That was some weak ass Ground n pound by Griffin in round 2. He basically sat on top of Jackson, no? Those kicks were awesome, but then it seemed like he just sat on top of him the whole round. Eh, imo, Griffin didn't do enough to dethrone the champion. To be the champion, you've got to beat him...convincingly...I don't think it was too convincingly. I don't mind it though, because you should never let the fight go to the judges. Rampage was humble in defeat, so his fans should be to.

If he had've fought back more he probably could've made it a 10-9 round, which would've won the fight for him in my books. The judges, though, had Griffin winning by two or three points, so it didn't matter. I don't know how they could give Forrest the first round when he was rocked once, then rocked and knocked down with an uppercut afterwards, while his stand-up was all chippy leg kicks and some jabs.
