Arenas is a shooting guard in a PG body, just like Bayless(he no where near as good). You notice how much more chemistry Washington shows when he's not playing, that's ecause he's a PG that dominates the ball to much, and takes players rhythm away.

It requires more passing, less shooting from the PG position. Of course, if Gilbert was in a different situation...such as maybe triangle offense, where a PG shooter is needed (am I correct on that one?), I'd expect Gilbert would do much better.

Don't tell me that the Wizards would have been worse with Gilbert on the roster than without. A healthy Gilbert Arenas could have beaten the Cavs in the playoffs. Also, I just used Gilbert as an example that you can succeed in the NBA nowadays if you aren't a "traditional" point guard. LOL And Arenas sucked when he entered the league, he could barely get off the bench. Bayless is a better player than Gilbert was at this point of their careers. This just shows that players do improve with time, and why the Sonics should be more patient with their young bigs. LOL Anyways, this whole discussion is going off topic. It would be to the best interest of the Sonics not to take another big in the lottery. Pretty much everyone agrees to that statement except for you, and your man love for Brook Lopez. You have yet to answer to most of my posts regarding that topic, and you have yet to make any good reasons to justify them picking another big. LOL
So I'm a little late to the party, but oh well. I'm pumped about getting the top pick. I'm hoping we take Beasley. He addresses our needs for post play and can also take it outside. Beyond that, he's an absolute beast on the boards. So, I'm hoping for Beasley, though I'm expecting to take Rose.

LOL </div> yes they'll have a low post scorer would benefit, Kevin Durant more than a PG who dominates the ball to much. Either way it doesn't matter Seattle should just trade the pick, maybe for a Jose Caldron.

The Sonics would be better off taking Bayless than trading for Calderon. Calderon is like 28, Bayless is 19 and fits better with there core of Durant and Green right now. Besides, Calderon would never agree to go to the Sonics. Remember he is a RFA

Well I intended to stop posting in this thread altogther, but I guess I'll respond since you're asking me this question right? First of all, who says Bayless will take the most, or second most shots on his team? He had to college, but the NBA is different. He won't be relied on as heavily to score. Unfortunately, given his situation, he may have to pick up the scoring if he is drafted by the Sonics. He won't take more shots than Durant, but given the players he is surrounded with, I won't be surprised if he ends up being the second or third option offensively. Which really isn't his fault. Wilcox is good, but he isn't really second option material. Bayless would probably switch turns with Jeff Green being second or third option. What's wrong with that? Chauncey Billups and Tony Parker are sometimes the second or third options on their team Anyways, like I said before, if a shooting point guard is such a big issue, then fine. You don't need to pick someone at number four, you can always trade down and target someone like Russel Westbrook or DJ Augustin.
