<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>Things are going to get very busy at the Nets’ practice facility next month. In a post-lottery interview, Kiki Vandeweghe pronounced the draft so deep, “we’ll be looking at a good player at 10 and at 21 and possibly at 40.” To ensure they get what they want, the Nets will work out about 50 prospects starting June 4. Well, I agree with Kiki on this one. Keep #10 and see what happens on draft night. I love this time of the year. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>“I think there are lots of ways to do it. You can draft a foreign player. They can stay over for a year or two. Pekovic is a great player, but he just signed a three year deal with Panathinaikos, so he won't be coming any time soon. Not to mention the fact that he should be gone by our 2nd round pick.
NO!!!!!!!! I HATE FOREIGN PLAYERS!!!!!! This is such an unbelievably deep draft just from college players. I really hope we don't waste ANY picks on some big european pussy or any european player for that matter.

In Chad Ford's latest mock, he has Anthony Randolph slipping all the way to the Nets at #10 and Budinger slipping to them at #21. That'd be a hell of a lot of value in the first round for the Nets, getting a player at #10 who could go as high as #5 and a player at #21 that could go somewhere in the late lotto. If Randolph's off the board and the Denver deal falls through though, what about the possibility of a trade for Charlie Villanueva. According to Milwaukee's Journal Times, Charlie V's being shopped around to "several" interested teams. Given the Nets' offseason activity so far, you've got to think they're in that equation.

There is no way I want 3 rookies on the roster next season, overkill with Sean Williams, Josh Boone and maybe Marcus developing. I rather they trade up a spot or two.

Sean and 3 rookies wouldn't be too bad depending on the rest of the roster. If we need to depend on them night after night it would be a huge problem. Two of them should be the 12th and 13th players.
That's been my thinking all along. Right now, the Nets have six players 25 or younger: Harris, Krstic, Boone, Ager, MWilliams, SWilliams. Now it's possible some of those guys will go away, but not all of them. Every single one of the big guys in this draft, except for Lopez and Love, are projects. I can see a Euro-Stash. I can see a trade: combining picks, combining a pick with a player, combining a pick with the $3.3 million TE, etc.

I don't know what the numbers are but there are some times when grabbing a foreign player in the second round can be had for 1st round good value since they sometimes need to be waited on since many times they have contracts overseas. Besides many of those drafted hardly ever pan out. But we at least have Krstic for every Illic.
I think it's a plan so Frank just quits rather than gets fired. We better store a Euro with the 40th. It is always fun keeping track of them and having hope that they will be as good or worse as Mile Ilic.

I'd love to see how Frank handles having this many young players on the team. For him, it's always been a bunch of old guys.

Also Pekovic made some comments saying about how he doesn't like the NBA which makes it sound like he doesn't really care to even come over. The deal he got with Panathinaikos is worth about the same as the #1 overall pick would get, if I recall correctly.
