As you guys probably know, draft measurements have been released. Here are the implications of these measurements for the Warriors at #14:

    - Kevin Love has definitely secured his position as a top 10 pick. I think he even moved himself into the top 5 now. All hope is lost that he would ever slip to 14 now IMO.

    - Joe Alexander measured out as freakish as advertised. This doesn't really hurt or help his stock too much because it just confirms what we already knew. Hes a guy who could start moving around on mock drafts during private workouts because skill is the big question mark with him.

-DeAndre Jordan measured out a bit short at 6'9.75 w/o shoes (6'11 in shoes) and didn't have combine scores like most expected. He seems to be slipping and some mock drafts have him slipping all the way to us. IMO if hes there you have to take him just based on potential. Despite him measuring out below expectations hes still probably the BPA at 14.

    - Darrell Arthur measured below expectations ass well at 6'7.5 w/o shoes, 6'8.5 in shoes and only 216 lbs. His 6'10.75 wingspan is respectable but not what you're looking for from a guy who measured out small and did poorly in the vertical jump and speed and agility drills. This is gonna hurt his stock considerably and confirms my thoughts on him that I would stay away at 14.

    - DJ Augustin only came in at 5'11.5 in shoes but sohwed a good wingspan and very nice athleticism. I've been pimping him hard since he was at Texas and IMO hes probably that BPA if hes there at 14. Even though a 5'11 PG doesn't exactly fit with us, I would endorse him if hes there at 14 because hes a player.

    - Donte Green seems to have pulled a Duncan/KG because he measured at 6'8.25 w/o shoes but only 6'9 with shoes. 6'10 wingspan and a 31.5 inch max vertical leap and he did very well in lane agility and speed drills. Again, didn't hurt or help his stock too much but it seems as though he is a legit 6'9-6'10 in shoes as a SF and definitely has the mobility to play the position.

    Thanks Run,

I'll have to check out wingspan and standing reach because I think those are more relevant measurements than actual height in shoes/without shoes. You can put Kobe Bryant in high heels and suddenly he's got power forward potential.

Man this draft sucks for me. There's nobody I want on the Warriors unless we trade down.

I just don't know about DeAndre Jordan... It's like a Pietrus pick. You see the potential, but you might not get what you bargained for because of the readiness factor. He came off the bench and he wasn't a Conference freshman of the year was he? Yet he wants to come out still. At least Biedrins dominated the older dudes in Latvian ball at age 17. I think the players here have to play well in their conference before you can just bring them into the nba like that. I didn't hear anything about him playing that well in limited minutes.

One thing everybody must really like about Jordan is his 7 foot 6 wingspan. Damn! Almost 9 foot 6 standing reach. If he's got the legs, he just makes himself real tall and guys might not make it over his hands. That'll force a lot of guys to play away from the rim if he's guarding it. He seems to be pretty fast down the floor relative to his size/weight in the draft class, but he's not super agile. His vertical jump is about 6 inches less than Biedrins' combine. I guess I'm trying to imagine a foul prone, inexperienced Dwight Howard without any skills except for dunk, rebound, putabcks and that's Jordan. Ha ha. I dunno he might be okay pick... POB caliber. Great if you're willing to take the risk.

I'm down with Love, I like Alexander's potential, I like pure point guards like Augustin. Not really sold on Donte Green.

I think Lopez will be one of the most solid centers to come out of these drafts. Nice 7'5 wingspan sort of like O'Bryant.

I like Budinger, CDR, and Kosta Koufos (His nickname could be Greek Fire). Speights could be something who knows. Danilo Gallinari (a Hedo Turkoglu/Mike Dunleavy Jr. clone) is really intriguing and if we actually managed to get him, Marco Belinelli could have somebody to converse with.
