"Mike doesn't like guys like Lee who can't shoot," a D'Antoni confidant said. "He saw him as a non-scoring power forward when he came out of Florida. But that's why a guy like Jamal Crawford is going to be around. He will thrive in Mike's system. And he likes Nate a lot, too. Mike likes guys who can make plays from anywhere on the court."</div> Source
Crawford had a darned good year last year. He shot only 41%, but had a horrid start. Otherwise, 39.9 MPG, 20.6 PPG, 5.0 APG
In my opinion, the only players that Mike will keep are Crawford, nate, Randolph (only cuz his better then Curry), lee, maybe jones other then that the rest are goners.
Derek Rose is a rich-man's Jamal Crawford. Same hitched shot. Handling skills. Scoring one/two. Much better ability to get to the hoop. Discuss.
THe "make plays from anywhere on the court" is interesting. One thing about Crawford that is really rare is that wherever he shoots from, half court or beyond at the end of quarters, he always seems to at least get rim.

He's around the same as Brandon Roy, Joe Johnson and Elton Brand in TS%. He takes a lot of long shots, but he's not terribly inefficient at all. No more inefficient than Brandon Roy or Elton Brand. He's likely going to put up some big numbers for Dan Tony.
