OK - they are a year old but here they are:

    http://www.draftexpress.com/article/2008-N...-2007-Analysis/

    2007 US Team

    Player Name
    Height (W/Shoes)
    Standing Reach
    Wingspan

    Michael Beasley
    6' 9
    9'1
    7'0

    Derrick Rose
    6' 3 1/2
    8'3
    6'7

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who do they compare to? Surprising similar to some Bulls.

    http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-...ft=15&sort=

Beasley is something of a cross between Deng, Thomas & Gooden.

Rose is a bit bigger/similar to Hinrich and Deron Williams.

I like Rose by the (year old) measurements.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>At a practice here in Fitchburg last month, Barton gathered his players to give them a scouting report on an upcoming opponent. In less than 24 hours, the team played one of its most important games of the season. Barton stood still, with a basketball under his right arm, and talked quietly. "Pay attention, 'cause this is important," Barton said. His players leaned in to listen. Then Beasley started shouting.

"Hey coach, pass the ball!" Beasley yelled. "Come on, coach. You're being a ball hog, yo. Pass it. I'm open."

Teammates laughed, and Barton shook his head. Over the last six months, Barton had decided mainly to ignore Beasley's childishness. He finished his scouting report and divided his players into two teams for a shirts-against-skins scrimmage. As Beasley pulled off his cotton T-shirt to play for the skins, he danced across the court.

"I'm naked! I'm naked!" Beasley yelled. "Look, coach. I'm naked!"</div>

Lots more on Beasley's attitude & behavior in the article.....not good....I really can't see Paxson going this way.

Ummm...isn't he still like 19? he's still a kid...just cause he's taller doesn't make him grown...lol. Sure that's childish...but so are alot his age. I'm sure there are plenty of players his age doing the same thing, the only reason it's brought o this much light is because it's him

Wow. I've never seen that article before, and after reading it, I wouldn't want Beasley anywhere near my team. He's immature, annoying, and doesn't know when to be serious.

Here's the rest of the article: http://kfba.net/cs/forums/t/6959.aspx

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Beasley said nobody gave him an exact reason for his dismissal, but he guesses that Oak Hill grew tired of his pranks. He wore pajamas to the school cafeteria. He threw sticks at teachers' houses. He snuck out of his dorm after curfew and organized games of hide-and-go seek.

"Me and Tywon Lawson had a competition at the beginning of the school year about who could sign their autograph the most around the school," Beasley said, referring to a teammate who now stars at North Carolina. "And I don't lose at anything, man, so I walked around with one of those Sharpies and signed graffiti everywhere. Every day, they were cleaning my name off water fountains, ceilings, desks, offices -- whatever. I just thought it was funny."

Oak Hill Coach Steve Smith blamed Beasley's poor behavior on simple immaturity. "He's really a good-hearted kid," Smith said. So, with two weeks left in the school year, Smith offered his star player one final chance: He told Beasley that, to be invited back to Oak Hill, he needed to impress administrators with flawless end-of-year behavior.

Two days later, Beasley signed his name in black ink on the principal's truck, Smith said.</div>

    Wow...

There were issues like that about Mayo coming out of High School but he cleaned up pretty good....what everyone is failing to notice is that the worst of these incidents happened in High-school. Sure he goofed around a lil bit in a practice, so what. I was stationed at Fort Riley, just 15 minutes from K-State and Beasly was not a problem child up there, in fact his mother moved down to Manhattan to be closer to her son while he was in school. The whole area was sad to see him go and he has shown to have grown up quite a bit since the "marker-days". So if you want to feed into this hype that strangly looks like a Washington paper trying to lower Beasly's stock with hopes of teams pass on him, then be my guest and I'll be happy if Minny picks him up at #3

The article is from more than a year ago. [IMG] That was some good pre-planning. Oh, and Beasley's floor is #2 especialy if you are correct that he was a good citizen at K-State.

Also, Miami is in much better shape to take a questional character on their team with Wade and the Matrix and Riles than the Bulls

Assuming we pick this guy, I will most definetley enjoy the Bulls being able to consistently run a fast break with some aptitude for the first time in nearly 10 years.

Way to be melodramatic, Swish. The guy played high school pranks. With all of the violent players in the league, is Beasley getting detention for being a class clown really important draft news? It's not like he's cocky like Joakim Noah, hotheaded like Tyrus Thomas, or has bowel control issues like Kirk Hinrich. He's just lighthearted, like a funnier Greg Oden. I doubt he'll be screwing around with the Bulls' next unfortunate coach the way he did while playing for amateur ball clubs.

That's what I've been saying...he shouldn't fall below #2. I'm just saying that if thier dumb enough to let him slide...Minny would be happy as hell to scoop him up...just like any other team...he has the kind of talent that you draft and then see where you can get him to fit...not draft because of a position situation....cough....cough....Jordan....cough, cough...lol

I can't believe all you 14 and 15 year olds think THIS is bad. Hes a 19 year old kid who just is used to being the best basketball player in the country. You better believe that this stuff won't fly when hes in the league, especially on the Bulls TEAM who voted to suspend a player. He's the best player in the draft and retarded articles like this one shouldn't and won't effect anything.

A couple of the described "pranks" were insubordination to his bball coach. I'm leaning towards going prankless.

And, yo, NattaNerNuttaMan, given this is the Bulls board, we will be much more focused on whether Beasley's behavior is a factor in picking #1 in the draft. Not #2.

I know right? Somehow this turned into a lesson on ethics...lol. But our conversations have been relating to Beasley and where he might be drafted.

The bulls will probably go with Rose and work deals to relieve cap space and go after Brand.

All I know is, I'm more mature than Beasley and even I'm not ready to have millions of dollars in my bank account right now. How is he going to handle it? I'd be concerned as a member of the Bull's management and fan base.

Your basing this off of things he's done over a year ago? if you've kept up with him in this last year in Manhattan you'd come to see that he has changed and has matured alot since then. As I've stated before...It was his idea to have his mother come down and live closer to keep him on track with school....if that's not showing better maturity I don't know what does. There is no way that any of this should keep him from getting selected top 2.
