<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pat Riley would not say what the Heat would expect in return should it part with the No. 2 pick. But it likely would require the combination of the Heat swapping selections with a team that chooses later in the lottery -- but likely within the top 10 -- and adding a proven veteran at point guard or center.

It might also take a trading partner willing to take on the two seasons and $15.2 million remaining on center Mark Blount's contract or the three seasons and $13.2 million left on guard Marcus Banks' deal.</div>

Wait, so you think T.J. Ford is a more valuable asset than Derrick Rose?

If the Heat were to trade the pick, I'd expect them to get an All-Star caliber player in return. This year's #2 pick is just as valuable as a #1, just like last year's draft.

I wonder if Jersey would be interested in dealing Jefferson or if Denver would be interested in trading Iverson.

Either way, it wouldn't be a bad move for the Heat. With a healthy Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion on the roster, a player like Jefferson or Iverson could push them back into title contention.

heat cant take Iversons contracts, he'll make like 21 mill next year, and Chicago is gonna take Rose. Rose is from chicago and chicago needs a true point gaurd like Rose, and if you been hearin the news Riley is looking for a big time player and TJ has a all star quality in him.

I would actually love it if AI played with Wade and Marion. That could rival the KG, Allen, Pierce team, and probly be even better. They need to get a big though.

^^^no to A.I. on Miami............your backcourt would be automatically undersized, and A.I. doesn't make players better (which is a PGs job) and his defense is piss poor.........plus he's aging and costs too much.........
