There's a thread on there about RJ getting traded for Melo, and the first response consists of chinese characters and:

Ah, I see. I have no clue what language that is or anything, but I decided to look up "Chinese keyboard" on google images, and was slightly surprised/disappointed.

Although, I was a little puzzled by this thing:

    That's huge, and so strange.

I guess mods will soon move the thread to OT. Anyway here is mine:

There are several ways of imputting Chinese, the most common one being typing the word's pronunciation. It's like if we want to type New Jersey Nets, we do "xin ze xi wang" (their Chinese Pinyin) and the software installed in our computer will convert it into 新泽西网. So we don't really need another set of keyboard. It's the converting software that is necessary.

The trick is there are a lot more homophones in Chinese than in English, so sometimes we'll have to pause to select the right character from a bunch of irrelevant homophones and it slows down our typing speed -- not by much though, 'cause good converting softwares sort of "judge" the context within phrases and present the most likely combinations on top of the list.

Still people deviced imputting methods based on strokes or components. The idea is to match certain strokes respectively with keys on keyboards and to break down each Chinese character into these strokes. This is the fastest Chinese imputting method known but the thing is, you must memorize which stroke matches with which key.

I for one, am among the whole lot of Chines people out there who are content with the first method. However professional typists are required to master the other one.

I have a question, I've heard before that China restricts what webpages that the people can go to. Is this true? If it is, can you name any webpages off the top of your head that they restrict?

    How did I find it?

NetsDaily gets a daily report of where the traffic comes from. The overwhelming majority is direct...people type in netsdaily or have it in their bookmarks. But a small percentage comes from other sites that link to NetsDaily. TureHoop, for example, often links to NetsDaily. So do the local papers. But you might be surprised--I know I was--to learn that on an average day, the largest percentage of linked traffic, about one percent of total traffic, comes from China, from hoopchina and vc15.cn.

RJ FOR YI! MORE TRAFFIC! MORE SNEAKER DEALS FOR PLAYERS AT THE END OF THE BENCH! DO IT ROD!

Did you know that every player on Rockets other than Yao has a Chinese sneaker deal and that Shane Battier does commercials in Chinese on Chinese TV. Let a thousand endorsements bloom!!

LOL yeah I noticed that on the Nets highlights I've uploaded to this year the Yi fans are extremely quick in attacking and down voting anything that includes Jianlian

So does Saudi. When I was in Saudi three years ago and went to Hoopshype, I noted that several of the advertisements were blocked...scantily clad babes. The main hoopshype page was fine, just the ads had a 404 Error.
