http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3408450 Any surprise? Next week we will hear about the Patriots poisoning teams food and raping players daughters to distract teams....Belicheat is a joke and doesnt deserve to be anywhere near an NFL franchise....he knowingly cheated in many ways and doesnt care who finds out.....be a man Goodell and toss him out the lying, cheating son of a bitch....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>He also added that using a player on injured reserve in practice was of "minimal" benefit.</div> I don't want to sound dismissive or even like I'm defending the Pats, because I'm not, but this part was the most important IMO. If they're caught then I fully believe they should be punished by NFL, since their openly flaunting a rule, regardless of how pointless it is. But in the court of public opinion, I don't believe this allegation can put as many question marks around their body of work.
I would agree that this particular offense should not put the teams accomplishments into question....I would go as far as to say the players involved should not be held responsible becasue they are put in a position to lose their livelyhood if they dont comply with Belicheat's wishes....however, this coach has a history of cheating and lying....he has demonstrated that he will break the rules and then attempt to cover it up if it will give him any advantage....under those circumstance, there no way to be sure hes not still doing something thats going unnoticed....with his charachter so badly damaged, I cant see the league allowing him to participate....hes lucky Im not the commish on the NFL....
I get it, Belicheat cheats. I just want to move on and play some football, I really am excited about this season.

If you want to hate the Patriots, be my guest, but this is excessive and ridiculous. We're talking about a guy going outside of the rules to win football games and now you're calling him a rapist, doesn't sound like acceptable moderator behavior to me. If you're going to edit the personal attack against you, you should be willing take a look at what you did that caused it and consider editing yourself. Also, if you're "over the drama" as you say two posts later, why did you start this discussion? Either you're not over it, or you got over it within four hours of your first post.

He could have used any analogy. The one he did use was not slanderous to a member of this forum. Nor did he go into detail (he talked of rape from the 10,000 foot view, not giving the reader detailed analysis of the act itself), offer photographs, or otherwise make a reader uncomfortable. Are you aware that there have been NFL players in the past who have been caught in statutory rape cases? Mark Chmura? Are you also aware that professional athletes sometimes are served poisoned food? Not lethal, but enough to make them have a bad game. It's Beef's opinion of Bill B and his team. If you pretend that Bill Belichik is your close family member, which he is not, then you are to blame for any hurt feelings you might have from this. Otherwise, leave out your personal attacks against members of this forum. Give your counter opinion on Bill and the Patriots instead.

I believe the drama that Beef was talking about was the drama that comes with personal attacks. 2. Discussing cheating in the NFL isn't seeking drama. It's a legit topic and worthy of discussion. 3. Beef didn't call Belicheat a rapist. It looked to me like Beef was making an exaggerated point and used an extreme example to get his point across. Posters with a decent level of reading comprehension should be able to make the distinction. 4. Bill Belicheat isn't your friend and he doesn't post here. He's fair game. The Beef is a poster here and isn't fair game. I guess that concept is much more difficult to grasp than I ever imagined. 5. Beef "caused" the personal attack aimed at him? Beef, considering the number of personal attacks that you and I have suffered when talking about the Patriots, I guess we're the most powerful people on this board. I'm talking mind control powers so dominating that it rivals our devastating good looks. We can control what others post OR others are simply dodging responsibility for their own actions. If we determine that it's the latter, then I blame the influence of Bill Belicheat. I think it's time that the NFL does a complete audit of the Patriots. We have multiple rule violations by Belicheat that need to be addressed. No one else is saying it, but I have to wonder if the Patriots have an HGH program in place. We learned from Rodney Harrison that there is no test for HGH and the reason he was caught was because the feds were investigating his supplier. Perhaps the Patriots have their own supplier, but Harrison might have not been in New England, got his own and got caught? I realize that's just conjecture, but given the Patriots' history, I think it's worth checking out.

The more I hear, the more outraged I become at Roger Goodell for not suspending Belicheat.
I dunno rules are made to be broken. At the same time you have to be prepared to take the punishment when you get caught.
All public figures are fair game and can be attacked at will, even on a personal level on these forums....members of this site are not to be attacked....my statements at the begining of this thread were sensationalist for a reason....the point was to illustrate that we have no idea what will be brought to light next, but I believe something will be, and it will be disturbing....will it be as bad as the statement above? obviously not, but it will be damaging in my opinion....one year ago, the Patriots were a unique dynasty....they had done more with less in an era in which parity is supposed to be the rule of the day.....it was assumed that they accomplished that becuase they just did things better than anyone else.....today we know they were illegally taping teams, they were abusing IR rules, some of their players were taking undetectable performance enhancing drugs, and former players have reported that their coach bullied unhealthy players into playing....add that all together and you get a picture of a man that would do anything, inside or outside the rules, lawful or unlawful, moral or immoral in order to win football games....a man like that has no business prospering from the NFL....a man like that should be behind bars

Joey Porter pretty much summed up my opinions on this matter: "They cheated, there should be an asterisk. They cheated and they got caught." "Why, if you have nothing to hide, would you destroy the evidence? That's how I've looked at it from the beginning. Why destroy something that doesn't have to be destroyed? Let everyone know what was on the tapes. Why would you destroy them so fast?" "They cheated, there should be an asterisk. They cheated and they got caught. They went from zero to 60 overnight and Belichick went from a good coach to a great great coach and he got caught cheating." "I didn't accept Bill Belichick's explanation for what happened and I still don't to this day." "If you're to tell me that happened, there's no way I can look at it and feel like I didn't get cheated." "Anybody I know that lost to them in big games, they're very upset about it." The Patriots are frauds, and they are cheats. Even though I am an Eagles fan, I couldn't help but to root against the Patriots in the Superbowl. Karma just caught up to them, I guess
I think Porter sums it up pretty good....if you were on the 2001 Rams, Steelers, Raiders, or Dolphins, the 2003 Panthers, Colts, Titans, or Dolphins, the 2004 Eagles, Jets, Steelers, or Colts, the 2005 Dolphins, or Jaguars, the 2006 Jets, or Chargers or any one of a dozen teams that likely lost a game that cost them a playoff berth since 2000, it has to be in the back of your mind that they cheated you out of a shot at a title....
